It was another game to forget for Auckland Hearts in match three as they travelled to Molyneux Park, Alexandra and were defeated by Otago Sparks by seven wickets with 29 balls remaining.

Overall, it was a disappointing performance with both bat and ball from the Hearts who posted only 110/8 from their 20 overs and skipper Maddy Green will be looking for better returns from herself, Brooke Halliday and Isabella Gaze in this fixture.

With the ball, the Hearts were only capable of picking up two wickets with Fran Jonas (2/21) the standout performer. Captain Green also impressed with 1/10 from her two overs and must surely give herself more overs in this match. Canterbury Magicians Preview

After bouncing back from a poor start with the bat in their victory over Otago Sparks in match two, Canterbury Magicians will believe they can win any game from any position in this year's Women's Super Smash.

Laura Hughes' side found themselves in deep trouble on 30/5 at the start of the eighth over but a combination of Natalie Cox (23 runs from 21 balls) and a brilliant 63 runs from 48 balls from Shikha Pandey took the Magicians to 137/7 which was defendable.

The bowlers certainly relished having those runs to play with and Melissa Banks alongside Shikha Pandey will fancy their chances of knocking over some early wickets with the new balls in this fixture. Gabby Sullivan comes into this game as the only member of the bowling attack who went wicketless in that last match.
