B-Love Kandy Preview

The B-Love Kandy had topped the points table last year but lost in the 2nd Qualifier. They have completely changed their team for this season, bringing in Wanindu Hasaranga as the captain. The side will look to make a positive start, and Hasaranga will look for good performances from his players in this game.  

The side will look for a good start from Fakhar Zaman and Ashen Bandara at the top, as both players can score at a good rate. Suresh Raina has to play well at No. 3, and he will look to build partnerships with Dinesh Chandimal and Angelo Matthews. Isuru Udana, Lahiru Madhushanka, and Sahan Arachchige add depth to this line-up.  

The side will expect good spells with the new ball from Mohammad Hasnain and Dushmanta Chameera, as the Strikers have a powerful top order. Isuru Udana and Hasaranga must bring their experience to play and bowl tight spells in the middle overs. Lahiru Madhushanka and Arachchige must deliver the goods in the ing role.

It was a poor batting performance from Niroshan Dickwella’s side in the last game against the Jaffna Kings. The captain led from the front but didn’t find from the other players. Dickwella would like to see a more determined effort from his players as they look to earn their first points.   

Niroshan Dickwella played a good knock in the last game and will look to set up a big partnership with Babar Azam. The middle order has a poor outing, and they need runs from Pathum Nissanka, Nuwanidu Fernando, and Mohammad Nawaz. Yashodha Lanka, Chamika Karunaratne, and Ramesh Mendis must use the long handle and add quick runs.  

Mohammad Nawaz bowled well in the last game and will look to get early breakthroughs along with Naseem Shah. Ramesh Mendis and Matheesha Pathirana have an important role in the middle overs, and they must bowl good spells. Chamika Karunaratne and Lakshan Sandakan complete a good bowling attack for the team.
