Ahead of Friday's game in the Men's Hundred, only Oval Invincibles have a 100% record and all of the top four sides have four points on the board. Two of those teams, Birmingham Phoenix and Southern Brave are in action on Saturday afternoon at Edgbaston where they will be greeted by a large crowd.
Although both Phoenix and Brave have won two and lost one so far in this year's competition, both of Birmingham Phoenix's wins have been by a close margin whereas Southern Brave have enjoyed convincing victories over Manchester Originals and London Spirit.
This clash will be the fourth game for both teams in the 2024 tournament which means there can be no more excuses and we expect to see plenty of runs in this match.

Jacob Bethell and Dan Mousley were the heroes for Birmingham Phoenix in their win over Trent Rockets in Match 9 on Wednesday and there were also useful contributions at the top of the order from England Test opener Ben Duckett with his white-ball international team-mate Liam Livingstone making 30 runs from 20 balls.
Birmingham Phoenix's bowling attack really does have plenty of experience but if we are being hyper-critical then they could do with a left-arm bowling option among their seven strong right-arm attack. But with spinner Dan Mousley in the kind of form which saw him take 3/9 from 15 balls against the Rockets and Adam Milne delivering 12 dots from his 20 balls and picking up two wickets, they may have enough in the unit to pick up another win in this game.

An impressive net-run-rate of 0.493 shows that Southern Brave have been playing good cricket so far in this competition and they come into this match after a convincing seven wicket victory with 22 balls remaining against Manchester Originals on Thursday evening at Southampton.
Making the trip to the Midlands for this match on the weekend, Brave will once again be turning to their consistent and experienced right-arm fast medium bowling all-rounder Craig Overton. The England international comes into this game after dismissing both openers against Manchester Originals and picking up the Player of the Match Award. His England team-mates, Tymal Mills and Chris Jordan also both come into this match after picking up two wickets in that match.
With the bat, Southern Brave prioritised scoring quick runs in the last fixture and we expect a similar approach in this clash.

There could be some rain very early on Saturday in Birmingham but by early afternoon when this match gets underway it will be dry with sunny spells and the temperature around 20-21 degrees.
Edgbaston is always a good batting track with pace in the wicket. However, Dan Mousley showed that spinners can be match-winners on this pitch in the last game. Whoever bats first will be looking to get as close to 150 as possible to give themselves the best chance of victory.
With a pitch which will not change much across the game on Saturday and after Birmingham Phoenix won from batting first on Wednesday, we predict that both sides will choose to bat first in this match.
This should be a close contest at Edgbaston this weekend with both teams coming into the game high on confidence after victories in their respective last matches. Birmingham Phoenix will take confidence from their tight victory in their last fixture but we think Southern Brave have the depth in their batting and variety in their attack to win this clash.
