Due to the nature of the fixture calendar, the league table in the 2025 Bangladesh Premier League is very hard to interpret at this stage with one team having played five matches and two having played only two fixtures each!
One of those sides with just two completed games is Chittagong Kings who will be looking to make it two wins in a row but until all teams have played around the same number of matches it will be tough to really assess the runners and riders.
That said, Sylhet Strikers and Dhaka Capitals have played three and four games whilst experiencing defeat across all seven!
Chittagong Kings will see this as another very winnable fixture and will be disappointed if they don't add another two points to their tally on Thursday evening.

Played four, lost four, is a very poor return irrespective of the sport, team or league but for Dhaka Capitals it is even more embarrassing considering some of the talent they have in their team.
The likes of Jason Roy, Litton Das, captain Thisara Perera, Mosaddek Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman have all been unable to produce the goods as a team and propel them to one victory!
They were thrashed by Rangpur RIders by seven wickets with 40 balls remaining in their last game after producing a poor showing with both bat and ball. And if the Capitals are to get off the mark in this game, they will need some of if not all of those big names above to finally produce the goods as one.

After losing their opener against Khulna Tigers by 37 runs, the knives were out for Chittagong Kings with some pundits predicting a season of toil and very few victories. However, they bounced back in fine form against Durbar Rajshahi, hitting 219/5 and then cleaning up with the ball to win the game by the massive margin of 105 runs!
There were plenty of fine attacking performances with the bat against Rajshahi but the man who will bring the most confidence into this clash is opener Usman Khan who struck 123 runs from only 62 balls. His fellow top order batter Parvez Hossain Emon will be keen to cash in this time though after being dismissed for a two-ball duck in Match 7.
With the ball, the Kings have the likes of Shoriful Islam and Mohammad Wasim who can be relied upon on any surface. But it is Arafat Sunny and Al Islam who stood out in the last game.
Parvez Hossain Emon, Usman Khan, Graham Clark, Mohammad Mithun (c) (wk), Shamim Hossain, Haider Ali, Mohammad Wasim, Shoriful Islam, Al Islam, Khaled Ahmed, Arafat Sunny

The temperature is forecast to drop from the low twenties to the high teens across this match but there is no danger of any rain with cloudless skies throughout the contest.
The pitch has already slowed down significantly from the opening games of this phase and we expect the batters to struggle to time the ball on this surface. Any first innings total of 155+ will be competitive.
Matches 9, 10, 11 and 12 have all been won by the team chasing in the second inning of the game so we predict that both captains will go out to the middle wanting to bowl first in this match.
For all of the stellar names in their squad, Dhaka Capitals have failed to look anything like a strong side in this year's tournament and so we are expecting to see them crash to another defeat in this match.
We are backing Chittagong Kings to win!
