Delhi and Madhya Pradesh are among the best teams this season, having won 6 of their 7 matches each in the group stage. Delhi were exceptional in the quarter-final at the Chinnaswamy Stadium defending a 193-run total.
They will be confident coming into this match with most of their key batters in great touch. Madhya Pradesh are also moving from strength to strength with the bat. They chased down 174 runs against Saurashtra in the quarter-final. In a previous outing in Rajkot, they defended 178 runs against the mighty Hyderabad.
This semi-final between Delhi and MP promises to be one of the most exciting thrillers of the season. There are some promising big hitters at every position in the batting order of both teams.
And given the high-scoring venue, we can expect some big knocks and a close contest in the run chase.

Priyansh Arya and Yash Dhull are back in form with some quality performances in their recent outings. They added 81 runs for the opening wicket in their last match and chased down 92 runs against Arunachal Pradesh in quick time before that.
Though there are some reliable players in the middle order, the performances of these two openers are crucial for a big total. Skipper Ayush Badoni is known for his big-hitting abilities and will be a key player at number 3.
With Himmat Singh and Anuj Rawat at 4 and 5, Delhi’s middle-order looks pretty solid and capable of finishing on a high. However, they’ve been quite inconsistent lately.
Also, they’ve mostly played against weaker opposition in their recent games and when they faced a quality side like Jharkhand, Delhi finished with 154 for 8 batting first.
Even against Himachal Pradesh, it was only Yash Dhull and Ayush Badoni who led the team to a 5-wicket win while chasing 146 runs.
The recent wins will have boosted their confidence and belief and given the pitch conditions we expect Delhi’s middle-order also to find their rhythm and deliver big.
Ishant Sharma will lead the pace attack and is a key wicket-taker. Harsh Tyagi, Suyash Sharma, and skipper Ayush Badoni are other reliable bowlers to watch out for.

Madhya Pradesh have reached the semi-final winning 3 consecutive matches. Rajat Patidar and co. have played on different pitches in Rajkot and will be confident of taking on Delhi in Bengaluru.
They’ve got a strong bowling attack and though Avesh Khan is a bit tricky to predict, he is a quality bowler who is very likely to deliver breakthroughs.
Tripuresh Singh has been a consistent wicket-taker for MP and will be a key bowler. They’ve also got Kumar Kartikeya, Shivam Shukla, and all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer all of whom look very promising.
Patidar will be expecting his bowlers to continue their form and get the early wickets to put Delhi on the back foot. They would look to bowl first in this match and it will be Rajat Patidar, Venkatesh Iyer, and Harpreet Singh in key roles in the run chase.
These 3 batters in the middle order are responsible for building partnerships and also delivering a big finish. Patidar can play big knocks while Singh and Iyer can score quickly and the later they come into bat the more impact they are likely to make.
Arpit Gaud and Harsh Gawli are promising top-order players. Gawli has been consistent recently and delivered some good starts.
Subhranshu Senapati played at number 3 for most games but was dropped against Hyderabad. He’s back in the XI since the last two outings and has looked promising but there is still room for improvement.
Arpit Gaud, Harsh Gawli (wk), Subhranshu Senapati, Venkatesh Iyer, Rajat Patidar (c), Tripuresh Singh, Harpreet Singh Bhatia, Rahul Batham, Kumar Kartikeya, Avesh Khan, Shivam Shukla

We expect cloudy skies in Bengaluru on the match day with a high of 24 degrees Celsius. There are no predictions for rain and we should have a complete T20 game between two of the best teams in this tournament. The weather could help the new-ball bowlers early on in the game.

Average TurnIt is a batting-friendly wicket with plenty of runs on offer. There have been many high-scoring encounters at this venue in IPL. It is a small ground with short boundaries and the batters can clear them with ease, especially when the pitch is flat and allows for even bounce and carry. The average 1st innings score at this venue in the last 10 T20s is 163 runs. However, a match-winning total would be something over 195-210 runs.
Teams bowling first have won 5 of the last 10 matches at this venue. It is not a clear advantage to either batting or bowing first. If the team batting first can cross the 210 or 220-run mark, they will be in a winning position at this venue. However, with a strong batting lineup, both teams should back themselves to chase down a total in this game.
It is a close call between two quality sides. There is not much of a difference between the two as far as squad strengths are concerned. However, considering MP’s bowling strength, current form, and batting consistency, they will have a slight edge in this contest. MP will start as favorites in our match prediction.
