Keshav Maharaj takes charge of the side this season. They had a poor tournament last year where they failed to qualify for the playoffs. Maharaj would like his players to make a positive start this year. They are playing at home and shall use crowd to their advantage.  

The side will need a good start from Quinton de Kock and Jason Smith, as they will be up against a strong bowling attack. They have a strong middle order, and they would expect runs from Matthew Breetzke, Keemo Paul, and Heinrich Klaasen. Dwaine Pretorius and Wiaan Mulder add solidity to the batting line-up in the lower middle order.  

They have a strong bowling attack and shall expect a good show with the new ball from Junior Dala and Reece Topley. Dwaine Pretorius and Maharaj have a lot of experience, and the side will expect good spells from them in the middle overs. Kyle Abbott, Paul, and Mulder add variety to this batting line-up.

Kieron Pollard will lead the MI Cape Town this season, and he will look for early points. Last year was a disaster for the team, where they finished at the bottom of the points table, winning only three games. They have a good set of players, and Pollard would look to get the best performances out of them in this game.  

The side will look for a good start in the game from Rassie van der Dussen and Tom Banton, as both are good hitters. Grant Roelofsen, Dewald Brevis, and Liam Livingstone strengthen the middle order. The side has depth in the batting and shall look for a good show from Sam Curran and Pollard, who are clean strikers and can score quick runs.  

They have a strong bowling attack, and the side will look for a good performance with the new ball from Kagiso Rabada and Beuran Hendricks. Sam Curran would look to use his experience and bowl well in the middle overs with Olly Stone. Liam Livingstone and Linde add variety to this attack.
