Both teams are in desperate need of a win to stay in the race to the semi-finals. Gulbarga Mystics have one win less than the 4th-placed Mangalore Dragons and a win here would help them stay in the competition.
Dragons are coming in this match on the back of a convincing win in their last game against Bengaluru Blasters. Their opening batsman Krishnamurthy Siddarth scored an unbeaten hundred in the last game to take the team to a 194-run total.
Siddarth was promoted to open the innings after he scored 47 off 37 balls at number 6 in their previous match. Gulbarga Mystics, on the other hand, finally managed to put a decent total on the board after failing in back-to-back matches.
Mystics were bowled out for 144 and 138 before they scored 175 runs batting first in their last match against Shivamogga Lions. While they did improve their batting performance, it isn’t a competitive score on this ground and they still have a long way to go.

Gulbarga Mystics will be eager to put an end to their losing streak. They finally managed to improve their batting performance but it was still not enough.
However, they should take a few positives from that game and look to build on an even bigger total against a quality side like Mangalore Dragons. Openers LR Chethan and Adarsh Prajwal will have a big task at hand.
Prajwal scored 43 off 41 in the last game while Chethan scored 44 off 35 prior to that. The two need to up the ante and start attacking and converting their starts into a bigger score.
It was Smaran R and Adarsh Prajwal who led the comeback from Mystics in the last match with a 77-run partnership for the 3rd wicket. That is a big positive for Gulbarga Mystics coming into this match.
While Macneil Noronha and Amit Verma couldn't’ get going in the middle order, wicket-keeper bat Srinivas Sharath played an attacking knock helping the Mystics finish on a high.
The failure of Noronha and Verma at 5 and 6 is a big concern for Gulbarga Mystics along with the lack of contributions from the number 3 batsman.
Skipper Vijaykumar Vyshak will lead the bowling attack and will need from others like Abhilash Shetty and Sharan Goud. While most of their bowlers haven’t been very successful and are also quite expensive, Shetty has consistently found wickets for the team.

A brilliant hundred from Siddarth who was promoted to open the innings after his impressive knock at number 6 highlighted Mangalore’s recent win.
Their wins haven’t been consistent and that is what they will look to change going ahead. After a brilliant win chasing 202 runs against Mysore, the Dragons finished with just 152 for 8 in the very next game chasing 216 against Hubli Tigers.
The bowlers conceded 200+ runs in two consecutive matches while bowling first and that will be a major concern coming into this match.
The Dragons won the toss each time in their last three outings. However, after they lost while chasing 216, the skipper decided to opt to bat first against Bengaluru Blasters in the last game.
BU Shivakumar and Anirudh Joshi have shown great promise at number 4 and 5 and will be their key players. Though Rohan Patil was out cheaply, he scored a brilliant fifty against Mysore.
That successful run-chase was led by a hundred from the wicket-keeper batsman Sharath BR at number 3. There are many promising payers in the Mangalore batting lineup and they will pose a tough challenge to the Mystics.
Skipper K Gowtham is the key bowler in this side and while others also found success in the last game, none of them has been very reliable as far as economy is concerned.

It is a batting-friendly wicket that allows for great stroke-making and only recently saw an opening batsman scored a hundred. The weather will be partly cloudy with a high of 29 degrees Celsius on the match day.
M. Chinnaswamy Stadium will be the venue for the 16th match of this tournament where Gulbarga Mystics will lock horns with Mangalore Dragons as both teams look to stay alive in the competition. While even 200-run scores have been chased down here, 190+ definitely puts the team batting first in a strong position.
Both teams have their own reasons for batting first in this match. While Gulbarga Mystics may not be very confident of chasing down a big total, Mangaore Dragons’ bowling has failed when they bowled first. Both skippers should be looking to bat first to give their team the best chance of winning.
There is a clear difference between these two sides as far as their strengths are concerned. Though both are looking for consistency, the Dragons have the upper hand in the batting department with more reliable players who have shown their abilities to score big. Mystics showed promise with the ball in the last game and that could be their trump card in this match.
Mangalore Dragons, in spite of a struggling bowling attack, have a clear advantage in this match, based on their current batting form, and will start as favorites in our match prediction.
