Glamorgan have kicked off this season in a great manner. They haven’t been among the top teams in domestic cricket, especially in the white-ball format, in recent years. 

These two wins have given them great confidence and with such a top-notch bowling attack, Glamorgan should be looking to make it 3 wins in 3 matches. The only problem is that they are up against an equally or even tougher bowling attack.

As such, Kiran Carlson and Colin Ingram will have great responsibilities in the middle order. They need to build partnerships that will help Glamorgan reach a decent enough total if they bat first.

Edward Byrom and William Smale got off to a good start in their last innings but failed to make it big.

While this will be a challenging outing at this venue against Notts Outlaws, especially if they bat first, their performances can be game-changing if they manage to deliver a good start and one of them stays around to keep the momentum going with the number 3 bat.

Jamie Mcllroy, Daniel Douthwaite, and Timm van der Gugten are the key wicket-takers in this squad who are in great form. These three along with others in the bowling department can destroy the Notts lineup.

Nottinghamshire suffered a huge collapse in their last match and if it wasn’t for Lyndon James scoring 76 off 80 balls at number 6, they wouldn’t have reached 209 runs.

Haseeb Hameed seemed to be playing a Test knock as he scored 32 off 65 balls at number 4. He was the centurion in their previous outing along with Ben Slater who was out for a duck while batting first in his last innings.

There is great potential in this lineup and the strength of the lower order was on show in the last match. Tom Moores and Patterson White are also handy with the bat and can make crucial contributions at number 7 and 8.

However, if it turns out to be a bowling wicket and Notts Outlaws are put to bat first, it can be a huge problem for Hameed and Co. They need some solid batters at the top who can play a longer inning. 

And even if their strike rates are poor, they just need to ensure they stay longer and have a decent total on the board. They should aim for at least 250-260 runs if they bat first on a bowling-friendly pitch.

In the bowling attack, Luke Fletcher, Brett Hutton, and Toby Pettman will be licking their fingers looking at this pitch at The Gnoll Cricket Ground. Hutton picked 6 for 38 in his last outing.
