Glamorgan’s previous game against Durham was abandoned without a ball being bowled. They lost their first match of the season to Worcestershire but came back to a thumping win against Derbyshire, where they chased a target of 299 in just 47.1 overs with 7 wickets in hand. Colin Ingram starred in the chase with a brilliant unbeaten knock of 115 from 108 balls. Ingram topped the team’s batting charts last year and will be the batter Glamorgan will depend on this year too to do the heavy lifting.
Skipper Kiran Carlson, too, seems to have picked up from where he left off last year in the tournament. He scored 65 off 52 balls in the chase against Derbyshire, proving once again he can hold the middle order together.
Carlson has also been more than handy as a bowler, taking 5 wickets in the 2 matches at an economy of 5.57. The all-rounder was Glamorgan’s highest wicket-taker last season too, and it looks like he will continue his form this year.
Off-spinner Ben Kellaway is another bowler worth backing. He took 3-41 in the last match on a flat pitch at County Ground in Derby, and can be really useful in the middle overs.

Warwickshire have won both their matches while chasing – by 4 wickets against Somerset and by 8 wickets against Warwickshire. In their previous game, they dismissed Gloucestershire for just 120 at Edgbaston, and then chased the target in just 25.5 overs.
Opener Edgbaston, with scores of 94 and 36, is the team’s highest scorer so far and has an average of 65. Captain Will Rhodes has had a good start as well, scoring 74 runs in two matches. He played a vital role in the team’s batting unit last season, collecting 404 runs in 8 innings at an average of 50.50 and a strike rate of 93.
Backing Robert Yates would also be a wise decision. The opener had a terrific season last year, where he ended up as the team’s top-scorer with 412 runs in 8 innings at an average of 51.50.
Among the bowlers, fast bowler Oliver Hannon-Dalby (5 wickets in two 2 at an economy of 2.94) and left-arm spinner Jake Lintott (5 wickets in two 2 at an economy of 4.17) have stood out.

The pitch at the Gnoll Cricket Ground tends to help the bowlers more, at least during the first half of the match. Batting usually becomes a little easier in the second half.
The weather in Neath is expected to be rather cloudy, warm and humid during the day and breezy in the afternoon
The average score batting first at the Gnoll Cricket Ground is 202, which increases to 204 in the second innings. The highest total posted at the venue in the competition is 229-3 by Glamorgan while chasing against Hampshire in 2022. The team batting first in this match should look to set a target of around 250-260 runs.
There have been 2 matches of the Royal London One-Day Cup played at the Gnoll Cricket Ground in Neath, with the team that batted second prevailing in both contests. We reckon the team winning the toss is likely to field first here.
In the past 4 completed matches played between Glamorgan and Warwickshire, each team has secured two wins. Both teams have assembled a strong batting unit, but Warwickshire’s bowling looks stronger than Glamorgan's, which doesn’t look threatening. On this bowler-friendly surface, we expect Warwickshire’s bowlers to dominate the proceedings and give their team the upper hand.
Back Warwickshire to emerge victorious in this match.
