This has been an excellent first week of action in the 2025 International Masters with India Masters and West Indies Masters both catching the eye with back to back wins.
Sri Lanka Masters are the only side to have won one and lost one across the competition whereas Australia Masters, South Africa Masters and England Masters are all yet to get a victory in the 'wins' column.
So it looks like being a tough assignment for Jacques Kallis and his side who posted 180/6 against Sri Lanka Masters but were then unable to defend it.
India Masters have been brilliant with the bat, hitting 133/1 from 11.4 overs against England Masters after making 222/4 against Sri Lanka Masters and this fixture provides another opportunity to show off their batting prowess.

It was Gurkeerat Singh Mann who top scored for India Masters in their convincing win over England Masters on Tuesday after Pawan Negi had put in the strongest performance with the ball.
Added to the high-scoring clash against Sri Lanka Masters which also saw India Masters come out on top, we can expect them to come into this game against South Africa Masters with plenty of confidence.
With the bat, captain Sachin Tendulkar looked in good form making 34 runs from 21 balls in the last game but at number three Yuvraj Singh has not lost any of his talent from his international days - he is yet to be dismissed with scores of 31 not out and 27 not out.
India Masters have depth to their batting and bowling line-ups and look like the team who all the other sides will need to be at their best against to even be competitive!

South Africa Masters were not completely outplayed by Sri Lanka Masters in their opening game but need to improve with both bat and ball in this match if they are to get a victory against top of the table India Masters.
Between them, Hashim Amla (76) and captain Jacques Kallis (24) made 100 of South Africa Masters' 180/6 but the team management will be demanding more from the likes of Alviro Petersen and Morne van Wyk in the top four.
Further down the order, Dane Vilas showed that he will waste no time at the crease, smashing 28 not out from 13 balls and he will take on the 'finisher' role in this team.
With the ball, Thandi Tshabalala took 2/32 and was also the most economical of the bowling attack. Makhaya Ntini and Vernon Philander will have great memories of contests against some of these India Masters batters and will be determined to come out on top.

Average TurnThis is a beautiful setting in Vadodara and the players on both sides will enjoy the surroundings at the Reliance Stadium. We expect a par score of around 200-210 for the team batting first.
Although this will be the second game of the tournament at the Reliance Stadium, Vadodara, there will still be an element of the unknown about the surface. Therefore, we predict that both teams will choose to bowl first if they win the toss.
South Africa Masters have talent in their team but we are not expecting them to get their first win of the tournament during this game. India Masters look too strong in these conditions so we are predicting another victory for them!
