Six match series in any format are unusual to see nowadays but they offer the chance for brilliant contests and plenty of sub-plots to develop across the games.
This will be particularly the case in this series as the sides have never locked horns before, yet will be very well acquainted by the time the six matches have been completed.
Ranking points will be up for grabs and they can be crucial to low-ranked sides as it will give them inferior opposition in their next T20 World Cup qualifying groups. Therefore, there is plenty to play for.
Both teams will be desperate to get off to a winning start and we can expect to see attacking intent from Indonesia and Myanmar on Tuesday.
Indonesia's recent form in of results is unimpressive but they very nearly beat Bhutan in their last T20I, eventually going down by 1 wicket with 3 balls remaining. Although Myanmar are likely to pose less of a challenge than Bhutan did, the hosts need to work on both their batting and bowling ahead of this series opener.
Keeper-batter Ahmad Ramdoni, who is likely to open the innings, and Ketut Artawan, who bats at number six, are expected to be the key players for Indonesia when batting. Artawan hit 41 runs from 46 balls in the last game, including 3x fours and 3x sixes, and he has the power to take the game away from the opposition.
With the ball, Indonesia have a varied attack and seven of their bowling unit took a wicket in their last game.

This will be Myanmar's first game since they were completely thrashed by Singapore by 8 wickets with 92 balls remaining in Kuala Lumpur back in early September.
Particularly with the bat, it was an embarrassing display from Htet Lin Aung's side with only the skipper at number three and Thuya Aung at number eight making double figures although neither were able to go beyond 11. With the side dismissed for 45 from 17.5 overs, it would not be a surprise if the team takes on a more attacking approach in this T20I.
The bowling unit made the best of a bad situation and did at least take two wickets, including one from the second ball of the innings, when trying to defend a target of 46! Pya Phyo Wai and Htet Lin Aung are likely to open the bowling again in this T20I.

According to the forecast, it will be cloudy throughout this game and very humid. There is a tiny chance of rain but the likelihood is the match will without any interruptions and the temperature up at 31 degrees from start to finish.
We rarely see totals of over 150 here at the Udayana Cricket Ground although the highest score of 192/7 was posted by Indonesia in November last year. There is often turn for the spinners and consistent bounce, even if the pace in the wicket is not supremely fast. A par total is likely to be between 145-150 in the first innings.
The last series at this venue, back in May of this year, saw three games won by the team batting first and two by the side fielding first. Conditions won't change a great deal across the innings but there could be more for the bowlers in the first half of the game. Therefore, we predict that both captains will choose to bowl first.
Although Indonesia have been falling down the ICC T20I team rankings over recent times, they are still 25 places above Myanmar ahead of this series. Therefore, although we do not expect confidence to be high in either camp, we are predicting a home victory in this series opener.
