He won't have far to look for assistance from across his team-mates though as the experienced and top batter Imrul Kayes is also likely to play a major part with the bat and as part of the leadership group.

For some, it may be a surprise to see him back in a leadership role so soon after stepping down as captain of his country but he has such a strong T20 record in domestic and franchise cricket that he is expected to set the performance levels across the squad for the rest of the team to follow from this game forwards.

With the ball, Shafiqul Islam has the skills to use the pitch to his advantage as does Asaduzzaman Payel and the exciting Pritom Kumer.
