Leicestershire Foxes Women had a much longer route than their opponents to reach the quarter-final round where they defeated Cheshire Women by 7 wickets in an easy run-chase to get past the second round, where they bowled out Cheshire Women for 92 runs and chased down the target in 12.1 overs losing three wickets. Rebecca Broker was the top scorer with 42 runs in 37 balls. 

In the 3rd round fixture against Northamptonshire Women, batting first Leicestershire Women didn't get much runs on the board as they finished at 116/8 in 20 overs. They started with a blast where their openers, Rebecca Broker (31 runs) and sca Sweet (52 runs) added 80 runs in 12 overs, but once they lost the first wicket, the foxes scored 36 runs and lost 8 wickets in the last 8 overs. 

But a phenomenal bowling effort from Holly Whitfield (4/13) who finished with a four-fer and sca Sweet's (3/10) three wicket haul and Ellie Phillips (2/14)  ensured Northamptonshire Women were never in the game as they were bowled out for 75 runs in 16.4 overs. 

Rebecca Broker with 73 runs in 2 matches is the leading run-scorer for Leicestershire Women in this knockout tournament and in the bowling department Ellie Phillips and Holly Whitfield have picked up four wickets each and are the leading wicket takers for the Foxes.

Lancashire Thunder who directly advanced to the third round faced off against Glamorgan Women and absolutely dominated against them carrying their good form from the Metro Bank Women's One Day Cup and played to their strengths of batting first and defending totals. 

Batting first Lancashire Thunder Women scored 167/4 in 20 overs and its once the opening pair of Eve Jones (60 runs) and Emma Lamb (52 runs) who provided a solid start to the innings adding 93 runs for the 1st wicket. After the dismissal of Eve Jones, Emma Lamb and Seren Smale (23 runs) added 45 runs for the 2nd wicket and then in the end a quickfire cameo of 17 runs in 9 balls from Sophie Ecclestone powered Lancashire Thunder past the 150 run mark. 

Then Lancashire Thunder bowled out Glamorgan Women for 86 runs in 17.1 overs. Right arm fast bowler Grace Thompson was the chief architect with a three wicket haul (2/3) in 3 overs including one maiden, she conceded under less than one run per over. SOphie Morris picked up 2 wickets, Potts, Ecclestone and Lamb picked up one wicket each. 

The Thunder women will be looking to extend their good run of form heading into the quarterfinal round where they have a strong batting lineup and once again the reliance will be on their openers Eve Jones and Emma Lamb, while they do have a strong middle order who can come in handy if the situation demands. In the bowling department Ecclestone and Thompson will be bowlers in focus.
