Madhya Pradesh have ed two massive wins in their first two matches – by 102 runs against Mizoram and by 101 runs versus Meghalaya. However, a tougher challenge awaits them against Punjab.

So far, almost every batter in their lineup has got a good hit. Arpit Gaud, Rajat Patidar, Venkatesh Iyer, Harpreet Singh, and Subhranshu Senapati have looked the best and we expect them to continue the good work. Patidar and Iyer particularly, are the ones to watch out for.

In the bowling department, Arshad Khan has stood out, taking 4 wickets in two games at an economy of just 2.14. Tripuresh Singh and Avesh Khan were rested for the previous match, but they are the team’s main strike bowlers and are expected to be called back for this important clash.

After losing their first game to Punjab, they made a strong comeback in their next one, defeating Bihar by 6 wickets. After restricting them to a modest 113, Punjab chased the target down in 9.4 overs. Opener Prabhsimran Singh top-scored with a quickfire 38 off 15 to ease the nerves of the middle order.

Abhishek Sharma has failed in both games, but the stylish Indian opener was the team’s highest run-getter last season and has been in great form this year too. We are backing him to come good in this match.

Keep an eye on Anmolpreet Singh as well, who scored 355 runs in the tournament at a strike rate of 180. Nehal Wadhera and Ramandeep Singh are capable strikes who can come in handy down the order.

On the bowling front, Harpreet Brar was the standout in the previous match, taking 3-18. Punjab also have Arshdeep Singh to rely on for some early wickets and a tight spell at the death.
