Nepal won the last three out of four games they played against the Netherlands. It will make them confident, along with the fact that the side is playing on its home ground. The Dutch side impressed everyone in the recent World Cup, and the side will look to take inspiration from that and do well.

Nepal Preview

Rohit Paudel's side needs to pull up its socks after the 20-run loss against Namibia in the first game. They controlled the game at the start but failed to capitalize on their chances, allowing the opponents to score big on the board. Paudel would look to put this loss behind them and earn their first points in this game.  

The side will expect a good start from the opening pair of Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh, as they failed in the last game. The middle order did well, and the side will expect runs from Rohit Paudel, Kushal Malla, and Dipendra Singh Airee. For the side to win, Gulshan Jha, Sompal Kami, and Sundeep Jora must do well in the lower middle order.  

Karan KC and Sompal Kami failed to contain runs against Namibia, and they will look to grab early wickets and put the Dutch side under pressure. Dipendra Singh Airee and Paudel must keep the scoring rate under check in the middle overs. Abinash Bohara and Malla must do well in the ing role.

Scott Edwards' side will face a tough challenge in this game. Some of their experienced players are not part of this tour, and they will need to make full use of the resources they have. Edwards likes leading from the front and shall look to do the same here and lift his side.  

Max O'Dowd and Vikramjit Singh will look to deliver a good start and take on Nepal's bowlers. Teja Nidamanuru, Sybrand Engelbrecht, and Scott Edwards must do well in the middle order. Timm van der Gugten and Aryan Dutt would look to do the big-hitting in the lower middle order.  

The side will expect a good show with the new ball from Fred Klaassen and Vivian Kingma and put the hosts under pressure. Roelof van der Merwe has a lot of experience, and he will look to grab wickets with Aryan Dutt. Shariz Ahmed and Timm van der Gugten add depth to this attack.

We expect clear skies over Kirtipur. The wicket is flat, and batsmen have scored runs on it easily in both games. Bowlers have little margin for error as the ball comes to the bat nicely. The side batting first shall aim to have 200 runs on the board.
