Northamptonshire Preview

Northants would have been expecting the worst against Worchestershire but the comfortable victory is likely to give them plenty of confidence going into the game. Prithvi Shaw was a decisive factor in the team setting a daunting task for Worcs, as he was able to come up with a third consecutive half-century in the One-Day Cup. 

Shaw is the top scorer for the team this season with 294 runs from his five innings. At an average of 58 and a strike rate of 127, Shaw will be a big threat to the opposition. Even though there were signs of collapse from the Northants team against Worcs, they were able to recover from some quick wickets losses.

Justin Broad and Saif Zaib were the pick of the bowlers against Northants, as they were able to come up with three wickets each. Both were extremely economical as they formed an instrumental partnership in helping the team to their first win of the season. Zaib has picked up nine wickets for his team this season with his 3/44 against Worcs being his best numbers.
