The third and final ODI between South Africa Women and England Women is set to be a thrilling conclusion to the series, despite both teams already securing one victory each. The match will be held at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom on 11 December from 5:30 pm onwards. With the series locked at 1-1, this game is not just a decider but an opportunity for both sides to end the contest on a high note. After losing the T20 series against the visitors, South Africa Women started the ODI series on a high note. In the first game, SA Women beat England Women by six wickets. Bowling first, SA Women restricted England women on 186 after Marizaane Kapp and Annerie Dercksen picked up three wickets each. Skipper Laura Wolvaardt then scored a much needed half-century to chase the target in 39 overs.

England Women bounced back from the loss in the next game. They restricted SA Women to 135. Charlie Dean the first England bowler to claim a hat-trick in 25 years. Openers Tammy Beaumont and Maia Bouchier put up a stand of 69 runs to help England Women square up the series 1-1 in the 25th over of the game.  Annerie Dercksen took two wickets for SA Women.

This was England Women’s fourth ODI win in the last five games played against South Africa Women.

Skipper Laura Wolvaardt will open the innings with Tazmin Brits. Wolvaardt is the leading run-scorer of the series with 94 runs. She will be the batter to watch out for. In the last 10 ODIs, she has scored 632 runs at an average of 105.33.
