Ahead of the final game, no-one expected this series to be 1-1 and so it has proved with Australia already securing the series. That said, there were improvements from Scotland on Friday as they were stronger with the ball and the losing margin of 70 runs was far closer than the 7 wickets with 62 balls remaining on Wednesday.
Scotland will no doubt be well ed again in Saturday's match but the gulf in class between the two sides, even with Australia selecting only three or four of their first choice XI is vast.
Australia will go all out for 3-0 in this game and Scotland need at least two of their top batters to produce half-centuries if they are to somehow pull off an upset in this third and final T20I.

It was no surprise to see Scotland ring the changes, particularly in their bowling attack, after they were hit to all parts by Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis in the opening T20I. The new players certainly made the team more competitive and we would not be surprised to see Richie Berrington announcing the same XI at the toss ahead of this game.
Brandon McMullen has an excellent record against Australia and now averages 46 against them in this format after his 59 runs from 42 balls on Friday afternoon. However, he will need more from his team-mates who could only provide single-figure scores in the second T20I - that is with the exception of George Munsey who followed up his impressive innings on Wednesday with 19 runs from 9 balls. Top order runs from Munsey, Berrington and Berrington will once again be key for Scotland.
With the ball, Bradley Currie and Mark Watt will provide top quality deliveries and they will also need from the rest of the bowling unit.

Australia have used 12 players across the opening two T20Is and it was bowling all-rounder Aaron Hardie who came into the side in place of Riley Meredith in Friday's second game of the season.
That means that only the experienced Nathan Ellis and the un-capped Cooper Connolly have not yet got a game on this tour and with the series now in the bag we expect Connolly to come in for this game.
Travis Head was unable to follow-up his fireworks with the bat on Wednesday but Scotland should be wary of a player in such good form who was dismissed for a golden duck on Friday.
With the ball, this Australia side have all players contributing with Marcus Stoinis taking 4/23 only two days after being the only player on the side to go wicketless in the first T20I.

Foggy conditions are forecast for much of Saturday in Edinburgh but hopefully the sun will have burnt through to provide a warm and muggy afternoon during this match. No rain is expected to interrupt proceedings.
The short boundaries at the Grange have made batting very easy for Australia's talented line-up and we expect both sides to clear the ropes on many occasions in this T20I. Whoever bats first on Saturday will be targeting a total of at least 175 to be competitive.
In the first two games of the series, the toss winning captain chose to field first and although Australia have won both the matches, once batting first and once bowling first, we predict that both sides will choose to bowl first if they win the toss ahead of this fixture.
Although Scotland were more competitive in Friday's second T20I of the series, they were still very much outplayed with bat and ball by the touring Australians. We expect more of the same on Saturday and are predicting another victory for Australia to seal a 3-0 series win.
