Sadly, Saurashtra could not qualify for the knockout stages in the previous season despite being tied with Gujarat on 20 points as they lost on Net Run Rate. Saurashtra did really well to win four of their last five games to be in contention for the knockout stage. More importantly, all of these were comfortable wins, including some massive wins such as a win over Manipur by 85 runs, a win over Arunachal by 10 wickets and 99 balls remaining and a win over Andhra by 7 wickets. In batting, Harvik Desai leads the chart with 430 runs in last 10 games with a strike rate of 160.44 and an average of 61.43. Tarang Gohel is their second best batter with 212 runs in 7 matches at an amazing strike rate of over 200 and an average of above 35. 

In Bowling, Dharmendrasinh Jadeja and Chirag Jani are doing well for Saurashtra, both claiming 12 wickets in last 10 matches at a similar strike rate of around 17. However, Jadeja's economy is superior to Jani's. Jadeja's economy is 6.9, whereas Jani's economy is 8.76. Saurashtra is looking to go one step further and they have the team to do that under Jaidev Unadkat's captaincy. They should start with a win against Sikkim.
