Lewis Gregory will be confident heading into this game. They were the best side last year and won the title with ease. The side has core players from last year who know each other's games well. They play at home and will have the crowds cheering for them. Gregory would look to use this advantage and open the .  

Alex Hales and Dawid Malan form a destructive opening pair and will look to deliver a good start. The middle order is formidable, and they will need runs from Colin Munro, Tom Kohler-Core, and Daniel Sams as they face a strong attack. Gregory would look to add quick runs with Tom Moores, Rashid Khan, and Samit Patel.  

Luke Wood had bowled well last year, and he will look to strike early, sharing the new ball with Sam Cook. Rashid Khan comes to the side and strengthens the bowling, and he will look to bowl tight spells with Patel in the middle overs. Sams and Gregory complete a strong attack for the team.

James Vince's side would like to put behind the last season's upset. It was a nosedive for the side, from winning the tournament in 2021 to finishing 7th on the points table. They failed to start well last year, and Vince would like to get his side off the hook in the first game. They take on the defending champions, and the Brave skipper would like his players to be on the money.  

The new opening pair of Finn Allen and Devon Conway must deliver a good start. Both players have been in good form leading up to the tournament. Vince will look to anchor the middle order and do well with Alex Davies and Joe Weatherley. The team has good hitters in the lower middle order and expects quick runs from Tim David, James Fuller, and Rehan Ahmed.  

Jofra Archer's presence makes this attack strong, and he will look to get early breakthroughs along with Chris Jordan as their opponents have a strong batting line-up. James Fuller and Tymal Mills must bowl good spells in the middle overs, and the side will look for a good show from them. Weatherley and Rehan Ahmed need must do well in the ing role.
