West Delhi Lions Preview

Central Delhi Kings have delivered strong performances that did not convert into wins. But in their last match, with the bowlers finding help from the pitch in the second innings, the Kings were on top of the game as they secured a 109-run win over Purani Delhi 6.

Dhruv Kaushik and Yash Dhull are the key batters in the top order. Both have scored a fifty each and when neither of them managed to reach that mark in the last game, skipper Jonty Sidhu and Aryan Rana stepped up and delivered big.

Sidhu scored 50 off 22 at number 4 while Rana, coming in at 5, was unbeaten on 75 off 38 balls taking Central Delhi past the 200-run mark. The Kings look threatening as far as their batting lineup is concerned.

Kaushik and Dhull were scoring big so far but with the right from the middle order, Central Delhi’s batting will now become even stronger. The bigger positive for the Kings was the bowling performance in the last game.

They failed to put any sort of pressure on the opposition while defending 176 and 175 in their previous outings but in the last match, they were exceptional. Money Grewal and Sumit Kumar along with skipper Sidhu were the key bowlers.

Grewal has been consistent with the ball and has delivered key breakthroughs in every game. He is one to watch out for in this bowling attack.

After losing their second match of the season while defending 141 runs, West Delhi Lions bounced back with a strong batting performance. Ankit Kumar led the side to a good total with a brilliant performance at the top.

However, the Lions need a lot more than this. They need others to step up too. Ekansh Dobal is a strong middle-order who can be a great impact player. In the last match, he was promoted to the top of the order to open along with Ankit and was out for a golden duck.

No one in the middle-order’s made a stronger impact for West Delhi Lions. Ankit Kumar was the top-scorer in the opening game where they won by 3 wickets chasing a 145-run target. The opener scored 39 off 15 balls.
