After Saturday's tournament opener saw India Masters post 222/4 before just about getting the win with Sri Lanka Masters making 218/9, the excitement levels and hype were all justified! The question is, can West Indies Masters and Australia Masters deliver the same on Monday evening?
Looking at the two squads, the answer has to be an emphatic "yes"! Not only are there plenty of former giants of the game on display, but many of them have been playing in other tournaments over recent years and still look in decent shape.
There were 24 sixes hit across the first game of the competition and we expect these two teams to come close to that number in this contest due to the amount of clean-hitting batters on display.
There may not be many sprinted singles but we should see another enthralling contest!
West Indies may not have been much of a force in world cricket this century, save for winning the 2016 T20 World Cup, but one look at the squad for this 2025 International Masters League will make the opposition players know that they are going to be in for a very tough match.
At the top of the order, Brian Lara, one of the greatest batters ever seen, and still the holder of the highest individual Test score, will open with fellow-left-hander Chris Gayle. The 'Universe Boss' needs no great introduction as his 'see ball, hit ball' attitude is known around the world. Do not be surprised if there are very few runs acquired through rotating the strike but rather that this pair both spank the ball to the boundary!
With the ball, Ravi Rampaul is a stocky but very consistent pace bowler who will find movement from any surface. Jerome Taylor and Fidel Edwards will provide the speed with Sullieman Benn able to change his angle of delivery and get bounce as an intelligent spinner.

Like their opponents, Australia Masters have plenty of players who have not long hung up their boots as professional cricketers with many still churning out good scores with the bat and returning decent figures with the ball not many years ago.
Shaun Marsh fits that category and the left-hander is expected to open up with the captain Shane Watson. The right-handed all-rounder was renowned for being dismissed LBW in his career and no doubt that risk will still be there but he is also a very clean hitter of the ball who likes to take the attack to opposition bowlers.
There are plenty of runs down the order as well with Nathan Coulter-Nile more than capable at number eight, as is James Pattinson at nine.
Xavier Doherty and Dan Christian will provide the pace-off options.

Although the weather will be cooling down by the time this game gets underway at 19:30pm in Mumbai, the temperature will still be up at 28 degrees throughout this match.
The groundstaff at the DY Patil Stadium certainly produced a good batting wicket for the opening game and we expect more of the same in this fixture. A par score will be around 215-220 on Monday evening.
After seeing India Masters bat first and then successfully defend their total against a talented Sri Lanka Masters team, we expect both sides to want to bat first in this game.
This looks set to be another exciting and closely contested fixture in this new International Masters League. We expect Australia Masters to push the opposition all the way but are predicting a victory for West Indies Masters.
We are backing West Indies Masters.
