IPL 2025 Revised Schedule, Venues, Playoffs and Final Timetable

The 18th season of the Indian Premier League was suspended a few days back because of the war-like situation between India and Pakistan. It was during the PBKS vs DC match at the Dharamshala stadium, things went into emergency mode when the city went into blackout mode.
However, a ceasefire has been announced between the two countries and the suspended tournament is scheduled to begin on 17th May. The first fixture will take place between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
A normalcy has been established in the country, and BCCI has taken care of the safety and security for all the players who are part of the league. Due to the major disruption for a week, the international cricket calendar will see a major disturbance and a few overseas players might not be part of the rest of the tournament.

New Schedule for Playoffs and Final Matches

BCCI is yet to finalise the venue for the playoff and final games. The venues are expected to be declared by the BCCI and the IPL committee in the coming days. According to the reports, the final match is expected to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The best betting apps will have the odds for the final game once the venue is announced by the authorities.
IPL 2025 - Participation of Overseas Players
Due to the interruption in the tournament for a week, a lot is expected to change in the league. The biggest change will be the availability of overseas players for the rest of the matches. The IPL 2025 new schedule is clashing with the international calendar, and a few players might have to withdraw from their respective franchises.
The England vs West Indies limited-over series is scheduled to begin on 29th May at the Edgbaston Stadium. ENG vs WI 3rd ODI will take place on 3rd June, and on the same day, the final match of IPL 2025 is scheduled to take place. There is a possibility that the players who are part of the league from both countries have yet to make their final decision.
World Test Championship final is also scheduled to take place between Australia and South Africa at Lord's. The rescheduling will only give the respective players less time to prepare, and it may also hamper their performance in the final match.
Cricket Australia has left it to the players to take the final call and decide their participation in the league. Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc are two big names in the league, and they won’t return to India for the remaining IPL matches. The other cricket boards are yet to take their final call.
