Australia Preview

Pat Cummins' team defied all odds and rode on a Maxwell maximum to defeat Afghanistan in the last game by three wickets. Few would have expected the five-time champions to win, losing seven wickets for less than 100 runs in a big run chase. However, the Australian self-belief saw them through. Having made it to the semifinal, the Aussies will look for a big win and build momentum ahead of the big game.  

David Warner has batted well in this tournament and will look to deliver a good start in this game along with Travis Head. The middle order failed in the previous game, and the side will look for solid performances from Mitchell Marsh, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Inglis. Maxwell played the best ODI knock for years in the last game and adds firepower to this batting line-up with Marcus Stoinis and Pat Cummins.  

The Australian bowling attack hasn't been at its best in this tournament. The side will need a good spell from Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood with the new ball to regain its mojo. Adam Zampa has done well and will look to bowl tight middle overs with Cummins. Maxwell and Marsh add strength to this bowling attack.

Bangladesh Preview

Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead the side in this game in the absence of Shakib al Hasan, who suffered an injury in the last game against Sri Lanka. Though Bangladesh won the game by three wickets, it will be more ed for the controversy surrounding the dismissal of Angelo Mathews. The Bangladeshis are out of contention for the semifinal, and Shanto would look to do well in this game and finish on a high.  

Litton Das and Tanzid Hasan have struggled at the top, and the pair must be at their best to deliver a good start against the strong bowling attack that the Aussies have. Shakib Al Hasan's absence is a big blow in the middle order, and the side will need runs from Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Mahmudullah. Towhid Hridoy, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and Mahedi Hasan must add quick runs in the lower middle order for the side to win.   

The Bangladeshi bowling would look to exploit the weaknesses that Australians have shown at the top. Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam must use the new ball well and get early Mustafizur Rahman and Mehidy Hasan Miraz have a lot of experience and the side will expect a good show from the pair. Mahedi Hasan must deliver a strong show in the role of the 5th bowler as Australians have good hitters.
