Bangladesh Preview

Shakib al Hasan's side started with a win and has followed it up with six consecutive losses. They lost to Pakistan in the last game by seven wickets and became the first team to be eliminated from the tournament. It has been a big downfall for the team that was expected to do well in these conditions. They play for their pride and shall look to produce a good show in this game.  

Litton Das and Tanzid Hasan haven't been consistent, and the pair will look to deliver the goods in this game at the top. They will expect a good show from Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib, and Mushfiqur Rahim in the middle order. Mahmudullah has done well in the lower middle order, and he will look to add quick runs with Towhid Hridoy and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.  

The Bangladeshi bowling attack has been on and off with its form. They will need a good spell from Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam, who will look to trouble the Sri Lankan batting line-up that lacks confidence. Mustafizur Rahman, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and Shakib are experienced bowlers, and the side would like to see them deliver the goods in this contest.

Kusal Mendis and his side must overcome their nightmare against India. The 302-run loss in the last game has raised several questions about their skills and temperament. They have lost games by huge margins. Though the side still has a chance of making it to the next round if some other games go their way, Mendis and his men would need a massive win to improve their dismal run-rate.  

The batting line-up had a meltdown against India, getting bowled out for 55 runs. The side will need a good start from Pathum Nissanka and Dimuth Karunaratne. Kusal Mendis and Sadeera Samarawickrama have batted well in the tournament, and they will look to build partnerships with Charith Asalanka in the middle order. The side will need a good show from Angelo Mathews and Dushan Hemantha in the lower middle order.  

The bowling attack has failed to execute its plans in most games. Dilshan Madushanka has been the star bowler, and he must get them early breakthroughs with Dushmantha Chameera. Kasun Rajitha and Maheesh Theekshana must bowl tight spells in the middle overs to keep the scoring rate under check.
