Australia Women and New Zealand women move to Brisbane for the final match of their 3-match WT20I series.
Having secured a commanding 2-1 lead, Australia have an unassailable lead and will be looking to dominate. Their recent victories in Mackay -- an easy chase in the first match with 8 wickets to spare and a comfortable 29-run win in the second -- have showcased their dominance and solidified their position as a top contender in the format.
New Zealand women, on the other hand, have been woefully out of form and inconsistent. Having suffered nine consecutive defeats in this format and having lost their fourth straight series, they desperately need to address their shortcomings and find a winning formula.
The match presents a crucial opportunity for New Zealand women to salvage some pride and build momentum ahead of the major tournament. However, they will face a formidable Aussie side that is brimming with confidence and looking to complete a clean sweep.

It’s the WT20I world cup year, and the Australian women team are playing like champions already. In the eleven T20 internationals they have played so far this year, they have lost only two. One at home to South Africa women and another far away from home to India.
And they’ll be hoping to complete their tenth victory of the year as they get ready to defend their World T20 title in the UAE. Ash Gardner, who missed the first match of the series due to a freakish injury, showed how critical she’s to this team’s plans with a lovely all-round performance, scoring 18 and picking up 3 wickets in the match.
Outside of Gardner, there is a bevy of all-rounders in the squad. And a few of them, namely Ellyse Perry, Annabel Sutherland and Georgia Wareham are in excellent nick. And that’s a good problem to have for the Australian thinktank going into the world cup.
Top order batters consistency could be a cause for concern with Beth Mooney not turning over huge scores, but Alyssa Healy showed she’s just one good innings away from striking form with a crucial 38 in the last match.
Healy scored 38 runs in 25 balls, smashing six fours in the 2nd T20I and was the top scorer for Australia. In the five T20I matches that Healy has played at Brisbane, she has scored 122 runs and averages 24.40. We back Healy to continue her good run of form and play another impactful knock in the 3rd T20I.

New Zealand women spoiled all the good work they did with the ball to dismiss Australia for 142, and fell to their ninth straight defeat. No doubt the morale in the team would be at an all-time low, which is not a good sign given the world cup kicks off in a few weeks’ time.
The New Zealand side looks a bit undercooked for what is going to be a pretty intense competition. They had a good chance to prepare well with these three T20Is over in Australia, but they haven’t been able to keep the pressure up on the world champions despite getting on top on several occasions.
After letting the hosts run up to a 100 in the first 12 overs, New Zealand bowlers seized back the initiative with a good bowling display, giving away just 50 odds runs in the last eight.
Chasing 143 for their first win in several months, they chipped away at the target with Suzie Bates scoring a brisk 30. However, the rest of the batters couldn’t get stuck in and showed no intent to get on with the chase, allowing Australia bowlers to come into the contest and dominate proceedings.
A 0-3 whitewash will be the last thing on their mind, and they'll be raring to get out there and fight hard. But deep inside, they know they need to play an aggressive brand of cricket and their timid way of playing won’t get them too far in an international tournament.
Bates has been the lone batter who has performed exceptionally well in both the T20Is for the Kiwis, scoring 33 in the 1st T20I and 34 runs in the 2nd T20I. At Brisbane, she has a phenomenal record where she has amassed 135 runs in four matches, averaging 33.80. Considering her form in the series, we back Bates to score over 19.5 runs in today's match.

The surface at this venue is not too batting-friendly, and scores above 130 have proven good enough on most occasions. The decks here have enough zip for the pacers and offer excellent turn for spinners who like to give it a rip. Weather-wise, the forecast looks clear so we have an exciting match on the cards.
The match will be played at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane, Queensland. Both teams have met each other at this venue eight times, with the hosts emerging winners on five occasions. The first encounter between these teams here ended up in a famous tie way back in 2006.
The total match scores in the 1st & 2nd T20I are 288 and 255 runs respectively. The pitch at Allan Border field is a balanced one where the average scores in each innings is around the 140-150 run mark. Given the pitch conditions, we predict the total match score to be over 284.5 runs in today's match.
In the eight WT20Is that took place in this venue, teams batting first have won four and lost four. As such, toss doesn’t influence outcomes at this venue. But New Zealand women would want to bat first and put a huge score on board to test the Aussie women, but the hosts wouldn't bother much about which way the toss goes as long as they keep winning.
Australia Women look a complete unit with a lot of match-winners in their ranks. Given their miserable form and poor returns in recent games, New Zealand women need to play out of their skins to be able to even compete.
We are backing Australia Women as winners of this contest.
