Bangladesh lost its previous game against Sri Lanka, and a loss here will see them out of the tournament. Afghanistan comes into this contest with a big series loss against Pakistan, and they will look to get over that and book a berth into the next round with a win here.  

The two teams have a close rivalry with an 8-6 advantage to Bangladesh, and they will look to extend that in this game. Bangladesh has more experienced players, and this adds to their advantage. Bangladesh Preview

Shakib al Hasan and his men would look to put behind them the poor show against Sri Lanka in the last game. They suffered a batting collapse and lost by 5 wickets against Sri Lanka. It is a do-or-die game for the side here. They had recently lost the home series against Afghanistan, and the Bangladeshi skipper would like the experienced players in the team to take this challenge head-on.  

Litton Das's injury is a massive jolt for the side, and they will need a strong show from Mohammad Naim and Tanzid Hasan in this game. Najmul Hossain Shanto played a brilliant knock in the last game, and he must add runs in the middle order with Towhid Hridoy and Shakib. Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahedi Hasan, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz make it a formidable batting line-up, and they will look to add quick runs.  

The bowling attack did well in the last game, defending a low total. The side will expect a good show with the new ball from Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam. Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib are the most experienced bowlers in the side and must do well in this game. Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mahedi Hasan will have to do well in the ing role for the side to win.

Hashmatullah Shahidi's side went down against Pakistan 0-3 recently, and the Afghan skipper would like his players to get over that series. They recently defeated Bangladesh in Bangladesh, and it is a big confidence booster for their side. Their opponents will be under immense pressure in this game, and Shahidi would like to use this opportunity to book a berth in the next round.   

Openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran have done well this year, and the pair will need a good start. The middle order has a lot of experience, and the side will look for runs from Rahmat Shah, Shahidi, and Najibullah Zadran. Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, and  Gulbadin Naib are good hitters and make this line-up formidable.   

The side will need early wickets from Mujeeb ur Rahman and Fazalhaq Farooqi, as Bangladesh has an unsettled opening pair.
