Bangla Tigers beat Team Abu Dhabi by 9 wickets
A clash between the bottom dwellers may not be an apt way to sum up this contest between Bangla Tigers and Team Abu Dhabi. The Tigers are very much alive in the competition and would love to secure a massive win against the local team to push up their chances of securing a final berth.
We are backing Bangla Tigers to win this match.

Team Abu Dhabi has had the better of Bangla Tigers in the five times they’ve met so far, as the 3-1 head to head record suggests. But if there was a great time for the Bangla Tigers to knock over team Abu Dhabi and try to get even, it’s right now.
These teams are ranked 7th and 8th at the moment, but clearly Bangla Tigers are playing a better brand of cricket. Their bowlers are clearly underperforming, but their batsmen have been able to chalk up two massive scores of the tournament on the either side of 140’s.
Bangla Tigers look a completely different beast when their batting unit goes off. And boy weren’t they on fire yesterday scoring 20 boundaries? They’ll believe they’ve got their mojo back and will be looking to mow down the opposition bowlers of Team Abu Dhabi, who’ve had a below par tournament so far.

Bangla Tigers batsmen finally stepped up to the plate, scoring 137 runs just for the loss of 3 wickets in 10 overs against a quality bowling attack like Northern Warriors. It wasn’t mad swinging, but a calculated assault. The top 3 smashed 16, 17 and 23 off the first 3 overs and didn’t lose too many wickets in the process.
They tried to take things a notch up in the fifth over but ended up losing Cox and Mendis, two set batsmen. Incoming batsmen Miller and Shanaka were happy to bunt the ball around for a couple of overs and picked up the odd boundary but were lining up to launch an all-out attack in the back end of the innings. And they scored 59 off the last four, with Miller scoring the maximums with ease to bring up his first 50 of the tournament.
The batting got a new fresh lease of life, but the form of their bowling unit is still a bit concerning though. Their bowlers keep giving away freebies and look a bit lost if their opposition starts scoring freely. And they may want to iron out that aspect of their game if they want to progress through to the business end of this tournament.

The only team yet to open its on the points table, Team Abu Dhabi know their season is over. For them to finish in the final four, they have to win all their matches and do so with a huge margin. And they also need other results to go their way. With both their batting and bowling unit backfiring bigtime, it’s all looking a little bleak now. Having been routed by all the teams they ran into, Team AD will go into the match to try and improve their position on the table and spoil the party for a few teams.
Newly appointed captain Dwayne Pretorius hasn’t marshalled his resources well so far but will lead his men tomorrow on to the park hoping they’ll dig deep within and play a better brand of cricket with better intent.
The local team has hardly given their fans anything to cheer about, but would love to turn things around and finish the tournament on a high with an inspiring performance over the Tigers. Their team can look at the head-to-head record against Bangla Tigers and take heart from the fact that the Bangla Tigers haven’t been able to defeat them more than once in their five encounters so far.

The Sheikh Zayed stadium will be ready for another exciting T10 match tomorrow night and with the local team in action the crowd is likely to turn up in huge numbers.
Bangla Tigers have won both their games batting first and their bowling team needs a lot of runs to play with so Tigers are most likely to bat first after winning the toss.
Bangla Tigers got over the line against Warriors in a tense last ball finish yesterday and would want to carry that momentum through to this contest. Going down to Team Abu Dhabi would pretty much put an end to their campaign this year because they’d be left with too much to do in their last two matches.
We are backing Bangla Tigers to win this match.
