Though both teams are coming into this match with back-to-back wins, Sylhet Strikers’ wins have come on the back of some brilliant bowling performances.

Fortune Barishal will be up for a challenge as they take on Sylhet Strikers for the second time this season. The Tamim Iqbal-led team should be confident coming into this match.

They’ve got the winning momentum and have a 1-0 lead in head-to-head encounters against Strikers this season. There is a deep batting lineup that features some of the big names in T20 cricket.

Ahmed Shahzad and Tamim Iqbal form a strong opening duo followed by Soumya Sarkar and the experienced Mahmudullah in the middle order. In their last encounter against Sylhet Strikers, Mahmudullah scored 51 off 24 balls at number 6 to take the team total to 186.

They’ve also got the experience of Shoaib Malik and Mushfiqur Rahim in the lower middle order followed by all-rounders like Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mohammad Saifuddin.

Sylhet Strikers Preview

Sylhet Strikers are on a winning run with back-to-back wins and should be looking to put up a strong fight against the mighty Fortune Barishal. Strikers are struggling with the bat but have great potential in the batting department.

Harry Tector scored a fifty in the last game opening for the side and should be one to watch out for. The batting-friendly conditions in Chattogram will allow Tector to play more freely and get the Strikers off to a good start.

Batting all-rounder Samit Patel has opened the innings in the last two games and played at number 3 before that. This hasn’t worked out for Sylhet and they should be looking for other options.

Patel is better suited lower down the order as a finisher. Zakir Hasan and skipper Mohammad Mithun hold the key to a good finish and a comeback in case of early wickets at 4 and 5. However, neither of them is in good form and that is a big concern for Sylhet Strikers going into this match.
