Bhilwara Kings will face Manipal Tigers in match number 6 of the Legends League Cricket 2023. They look to bounce back from their recent loss against Gujarat Giants. 

Lendl Simmons’ unbeaten 99 runs knock wasn’t enough to get the Kings to 173 runs as Kings lost the game by 3 runs. Though they had chased down 229 runs in their previous outing, Kings lacked contributions from other middle-order batsmen against Giants which led to them falling behind in the run chase.

Manipal Tigers, on the other hand, defended 173 runs quite comfortably with clinical performances from Harbhajan Singh and Parvinder Awana with the ball.

Tigers have some of the best bowlers in their side and will be posing a tough challenge to a struggling Kings’ batting order. Not just that, they’ve also got some quality all-rounders in the middle-order along with big-hitting openers at the top.

Bhilwara Kings Preview

Bhilwara Kings need to prepare for the challenge as the Tigers will pose many questions with the ball. If it wasnt’ for the unbelievable knock from Irfan Pathan in their opening match, they wouldn’t have ended up on the winning side.

The skipper scored an unbeaten 65 off 19 balls at number 6 as the Kings chased down 229 runs with 3 wickets in hand. The top 3 of this batting order features some of the best openers to have played T20 cricket.

Solomon Mire has opened the innings with Lendl Simmons and then with Tilakratne Dislhan so far. And we reckon, the best opening duo would be that of Simmons and Dilshan as both are attacking batters and can get the team off to a flying start.

In the middle-order Kings have Robin Bist and Pinal Shah two of the legends of Indian domestic cricket. Shah has also played a dozen IPL matches between 2008 and 2011. 

Bhilwara Kings have some of the best finishers in Yusuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan at 6 and 7 with the latter having already delivered a magical finish in the opening game.

They haven’t got many promising bowlers in the side and we reckon bringing in Shane Watson for the 45-year old Ryan Sidebottom will help strengthen their bowling attack.

Harbhajan Singh will be chuffed with his team’s recent performance and especially his spell of 2 for 14 and a maiden from 4 Overs. It is a star-studded bowling attack in this Manipal Tigers side with Mitchell McClenaghan leading the pace attack.

The swing bowlers Praveen Kumar and Parvinder Awana will be ones to watch out for. Awana finished with 4 for 19 form his 3 overs as Tigers successfully defended 173 runs in their last match.

While not all of their batters rose to the occasions, it is a solid-looking batting lineup. Robin Uthappa and Chadwick Walton should be looking to convert their starts in this match.
