This game is one which plenty of neutrals around the globe will be tuning into as Otago Sparks, who currently sit atop of the Women's Super Smash table take on Canterbury Magicians who are the only team to have defeated them so far in this campaign!
No doubt the Magicians and their fans will be hoping to complete a famous double in this game but that could be easier said than done against an Otago Sparks side who come into this game on Tuesday with plenty of momentum.
They have not only won two in a row but scraped over the line in their last match against Central Hinds on New Year's Eve. Any victory by one wicket with one ball remaining will do wonders for the confidence of the team and the visitors are likely to require some stopping in this fixture!

The Magicians got off to a magical start when they visited the Eden Park Outer Oval on Friday and had their hosts at 1/1, 12/2 and 14/3 after one ball of the fifth over! However, they then struggled against an excellent middle order pairing of Brooke Halliday and Lauren Down before ultimately falling to defeat by seven runs (DLS).
Not only will Laura Hughes' side be looking to maintain their impressive opening overs from the last match but will be targeting consistency throughout their time in the field in this game. Melissa Banks and Shikha Pandey both impressed with the new ball and overall the bowling attack was strong in their last outing.
Big improvements are required with the bat though as only opener Kate Anderson reached 20 in the last game and her 38 runs took 47 balls to arrive!

Low-scoring classics are always some of the best games to follow in this format and there can be no greater feeling than coming out on top in one of them! That's exactly what happened to Otago Sparks in Match 4 on New Year's Eve when they restricted Central Hinds to 89/9 from their 20 overs but then only just scraped over the winning line with one wicket and one ball remaining of their innings.
Unsurprisingly, the bowling attack will come into this game full of self-belief with captain Hayley Jensen (1/11), Kirstie Gordon (2/16) and Eden Carson (3/19) all producing fantastic figures from their four overs each. Across the bowling unit, none of them had an economy rate of over 6.00 in the last match.
With the bat, things must improve or else their time at the top of the league will be short-lived! All eyes will be on Suzie Bates and Olivia Gain to deliver from their positions in the top three.

The forecast is for a pleasant day at Hagley Oval with cloudy conditions throughout and the temperature in the high teens. No rain is expected although there could be some moisture in the outfield after showers the previous day and high humidity on Tuesday.
Hagley Oval is often an excellent venue for T20 cricket particularly if you are looking for a tight contest. Bat rarely dominates over ball here and we expect a par first innings score to be no higher than 130.
Otago Sparks are the only team to have won a game when fielding first in this year's Women's Super Smash so we predict that both teams will want to bowl first if they win the toss.
With everything pointing to a low-scoring game, this could be quite the re-match following Canterbury Magicians' 12 run win in Match 2. Otago Sparks came out on top in their nail-biting contest last time out and we predict they will do the same in this fixture.
