Dhaka Metropolis Preview

Dhaka Metropolis, who enjoyed Match 1 of the tournament at the Sylhet Outer Cricket Stadium, will get their first experience of the tournament at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in this game.

It may be a different pitch and wicket but we can expect the same aggressive approach from Dhaka Metropolis which served them so well in their opening match victory over Barisal Division.

Mohammad Naim set the tone at the top of the order with 65 runs from 35 balls and alongside captain Saim Sheikh and Mahfijul Islam Robin, they make up a formidable top three.

With the ball, Rakibul Hasan was the most potent in Match 1 and we expect him along with Shohidul Islam to cause plenty of issues once again in this clash.

It was a tough opening day for Rajshahi Division but they showed plenty of character and resilience to come back from conceding 172/7 in the field and in spite of the rain arriving to spoil the back end of their chase, they were ahead of the rate and able to secure an 11 run victory over Khulna Division. 

It was the powerful and intelligent batting of Habibur Rahman who got Rajashi Division into a strong position in their chase and he will come into this game bristling with confidence after hitting 66 runs from 38 balls on Wednesday.

Earlier in the game, the experienced right-arm fast-medium bowling of Farhad Reza was too much for the opposing batters to handle and, particularly at this early stage of the tournament, we expect him to be a real threat again.
