Australia to score over 164.5 runs in 30 overs @ 1.83 (1XBET)

Well the Aussies have gone at much slower rate than expected but both the batters are now settled and scoring at a much better rate (5.48). We predict Australia to score 49 runs in the next 10 overs and score over 164.5 runs at the 30 over mark.

2024-09-21 16:44:31

Australia to score over 115.5 runs in first 20 overs @ 1.81 (1XBET)

At the end of 15 overs Australia are at 93/3. Both Marsh and Labuschagne are trying to rebuild the innings and we back the duo to score 23 in the next five overs and the Aussies score to cross the 115 run mark.

The battle between England and Australia is getting better and better in the ongoing series. After winning the first game with a spirited fightback, Australia will now face England in the second ODI at Headingley, Leeds on 21sT September from 14:30 onwards.  The visitors have taken a 1-0 lead in the five-match ODI series and will be looking forward to continuing the unbeaten streak against the hosts.

The Tent Bridge ODI saw the battle between two unconventional left-handed openers, Ben Duckett & Travis Head with the latter having an upper hand. Batting first, England ed 315 runs on the board. Duckett missed his century by just 5 runs. For Australia, it was a difficult game as their bowler Ben Dwarshuis got injured in the first innings. But Marnus Labuschagne kept the battle alive picking three wickets for 39. He got help from Head who also picked two wickets.

The chase became intense a Australia lost their captain early. But Travis Head took the matter into his hands with Marnus Labuschagne to win the game by seven wickets with six overs left. England Preview

Ben Duckett will open the innings with Phil Salt. Duckett's debut as an opener in ODI cricket was a partial success, as he had previously played in the No. 3 or 4 position in his first 11 matches. He averages 44.54 in 12 ODIs so far and has 1 century and 4 half-centuries. He will be the batter to watch out for. Will Jacks will come at number three. Jacks scored 62 in the first game at a strike rate of 110.71. He will continue his explosive batting style in the second game.

Skipper Harry Brook will come in the middle with Jamie Smith and Liam Livingstone. Brook hit three sixes and 2 fours in his 39 runs of 31 deliveries in the first game. His average (29.73) is a bit of a concern for England. Livingstone, who finished the T20I series as the leading run-scorer and the leading wicket-taker managed just 13 runs with the bat and picked a wicket. The issue with the English middle-order is that none of them have an average above 30. All-rounder Jacob Bethell made his debut with flying colors. Bethell scored 35 with the bat and took a wicket of Cameroon Green.

Jofra Archer will lead the bowling attack with Matthew Potts and Brydon Carse. The trio were expensive in the first game and picked one wicket collectively. England will still bet on Archer who has 42 wickets in 22 ODIs at an average of 23. England might face the result of their inexperienced bowling attack as Potts and Carse average above 40. Adil Rashid will be the only spin option. Rashid has 199 wickets in 136 ODIs but went wicketless in the first one.

Key Players: Ben Duckett, Liam Livingstone, Jofra Archer.

England Predicted Playing XI:

Philip Salt, Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, Harry Brook (c), Jamie Smith (wk), Liam Livingstone, Jacob Bethell, Brydon Carse, Jofra Archer, Matthew Potts, Adil Rashid.
