Mangalore Dragons will take on Mysore Warriors as the race to the top 4 gets tighter. Except for the table toppers, the rest of the top 4 and even 5th placed teams are in a close distance and the competition is only getting tougher as the league progresses.
Mangalore Dragons were quick to bounce back after their dismal batting performance against Gulbarga Mystics. They finished with 120 for 9 batting first against the Mystics but in the very next game, they were back in form with a 171-run score batting first.
The opposition, on the other hand, after consistently impressive performances finally showed signs of struggle as they managed to get just a par score against Shivamogga Lions in their last game.
Nevertheless, Mysore’s skipper Karun Nair continues his good form at number 3 and will be a key player in this encounter. Aniruddha Joshi is back to number 5 in the Mangalore lineup and is also back in form.

Mangalore Dragons have been inconsistent throughout the season so far with this form - W L W L W L. Every win has been followed by a loss. Now they’re up against a quality side like Mysore Warriors, will this be another loss? Or will they carry their winning momentum and start a winning streak from here?
Though their openers weren’t exceptional in the last game, Siddharth and Rohan Patil played some handy knocks at the top, setting the stage for a good score. Aniruddha Joshi was promoted to number 5 again and delivered just what was expected of him.
While Sharath BR and Gautam Dhiman were once again underwhelming in the middle order, Joshi found a great partner in Aneeshwar Gautam at number 6.
The two added 71 runs for the 5th wicket in 7 overs. This was a game-changing partnership as it took the Dragons from 89-4 in 12 Overs to 160-5 in 19 Overs.
While this is great news that Joshi continues to deliver in the lower order the lack of runs from the number 3 and 4 batters will be a concern for skipper K Gowtham coming into this game.
He’s got great variety in the bowling attack and many of his key bowlers are in great form. Aditya Goyal, Andan Doddamani, and Paras Arya will be the ones to watch out for with the ball.

Mysore Warriors’ winning streak came to an end after they lost to Shivamogga Lions in the last game while defending 162. Monish Reddy kept the Warriors in the contest with tight overs but the 19th over from Manoj Bhadange ended all hopes.
This was their worst performance in a long time. Karun Nair looked in great touch as he continued his form while the openers were back in the hut quickly and the number 5 and 6 batters failed to take the game deep and finish on a high.
Nair would be hoping it to be a hiccup on their way and expect his batters to quickly bounce back and find their rhythm in this match.
Openers Samarth R and Karthik CA are two of their best batters who’ve consistently delivered at the top. Lankesh KS and Shoaib Manager have been crucial in the lower order and their contributions are key to a good finish.
The batting lineup is quite deep with many potential finishers in the side. However, a few good partnerships at the top and a good middle-overs phase are key to a good score on this ground.
In the bowling department, Jagadeesha Suchith is a key player who’s been consistent for the Warriors. Monish Reddy is another key bowler to watch out for and Mysore should be looking to get Shreesha Achar back in the side.

It is one of the best batting wickets in India that allows for some proper T20 hitting. Openers should be looking to make most of the new ball and get plenty of runs in the powerplay. The weather will be partly cloudy with a high of 31 degrees Celsius in Bengaluru.
M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will be the venue for this encounter as both teams gear themselves up for a challenge. Team batting first should get at least 20 runs more than the average 1st innings score at this venue which is 164 runs. Anything below 180 can be chased down quite easily given the batting strength of both teams.
There is no doubt about the advantage chasing team has enjoyed over the years in T20s at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Both teams have a deep batting lineup capable of chasing down a score. However, Dragons have enjoyed success batting first and might stick to that.
The pitch could be getting a bit slow after all these games as was hinted by the match between Mysore Warriors and Shivamogga Lions. Nevertheless, if they decide to go for a fresh wicket in this match, we can expect some tight contest between the two teams as the batters push for a better performance. Mangalore Dragons have just delivered a brilliant all-round performance and will back themselves to dominate the Warriors.
Though Mysore lost their last game, the Dragons’ inconsistency coupled with the potential in the Warriors’ setup gives Mysore a slight edge in our match prediction and they start as favorites to win.
