This looks set to be an exciting second game in the Pakistan Tri-Nation Series with South Africa playing their opening game of the competition and taking on the winners of match one - New Zealand.
The opening game of the series showed that there are plenty of runs to be had on this pitch in Lahore and it was Kane Williamson (58), Daryl Mitchell (81), Glenn Phillips (106*) and Fakhar Zaman (84) who were the leading players with the bat.
With the SA20 concluding on Saturday, South Africa, who have the largest squad of all three teams, are likely to not have their strongest XI available. Even so, they have an excellent level in white ball cricket so they should be able to keep New Zealand in their sights throughout the contest.
We can expect another hard pitch with the ball flying through at good pace in Lahore on Monday.

Although this tri-nation series has been scheduled to help all three teams arrive at the ICC Champions Trophy at their peak later in the month, we do not expect New Zealand to make any changes to the side who beat Pakistan by 78 runs on Saturday.
It was Glenn Phillips who stood out, hitting an unbeaten century and showing just how powerful a player he is, and we predict that he will play in a similarly aggressive manner in this clash.
Keeper-batter Tom Latham was dismissed for a three-ball duck but he is too good a player to see his place in the team under threat.
With the ball, it was another successful day for Matt Henry who continues to be one of the most consistent bowlers in world cricket. Captain Mitchell Santner also bowled well and should do the same on this same wicket.

With the SA20 only just coming to a conclusion, and due to injuries to Anrich Nortje and Gerald Coetzee, South Africa will not be able to put out their strongest XI for this game.
They look the most weak in their pace bowling attack but there will also be an opportunity there for the likes of Junior Dala or Gideon Peters to make a claim for a place in their XI when the likes of Kagiso Rabada are back in the mix.
With the bat, Matthew Breetzke is a fine white ball top order player and he is likely to adopt an aggressive approach from the first ball onwards. Expect keeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen to be used in a floating position with the team management likely to want to see him arriving at the crease from around the 30th over onwards.

With this match being played from 09:30 through to 17:30, the temperatures will be slightly different from Saturday's game. That means that it could be as low as 15 degrees at the toss but will be at least ten degrees hotter about two hours later!

Average TurnThe Gaddafi Stadium is a good wicket for batting on. Batters like the pace of the ball and can trust the bounce of the pitch so we expect a par score to be in the region of 320-340.
New Zealand showed the value in posting a score then successfully defending it on Saturday and so, here at the same venue, we predict that both captains will go out for the toss looking to bat first.
With South Africa not at full strength, not to mention the ease with which New Zealand posted 330/6 on Saturday, we are expecting to see the Black Caps come out on top once again in this ODI.
