Sir Vivian Richards Stadium is a famous cricket ground in North Sound, Antigua and Barbuda. The stadium is named after the Legendary former West Indies cricket captain, Sir Vivian Richards. The stadium’s history dates back to 2006 when it was constructed specifically for the 2007 Cricket World Cup. During the tournament, it hosted the Super 8 matches and seated over 20,000 spectators, double its capacity. 

The Sir Vivian Richards Stadium has hosted several remarkable matches over the years including test matches, One-Day Internationals, and T20 Internationals. The stadium’s Test match debut featured West Indies vs Australia on the 30th of May 2008. In 2009 the first-ever T20I match was played at the stadium, between West Indies and England. In the 2010 ICC World Twenty20, this stadium hosted several thrilling matches. 

The Sir Vivian Richards Stadium is also a popular tourist destination and is conveniently situated approximately 10-20 minutes drive from the capital city, St. John’s as well as the country’s international airport. The ground has a seating capacity of 10,000 spectators divided over two main stands, the North and the South Stands. The Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound is nestled approximately halfway between the capital St. John’s and the airport making it easily accessible via the Sir Sidney Wailing Highway. Traveling by road through the highway from St. John’s is the easiest way to reach the stadium. You can opt for a rental car to enjoy the scenic 20-minute drive from St. John’s to the stadium. The highway offers picturesque views along the way. Alternatively, you can take a taxi for a hassle-free journey. While public transportation options to the stadium are limited, taxis provide a reliable and comfortable mode of travel.

Begin by visiting the official website for online booking and enter your credentials to to your or create new if you don't have one. The remaining part of the South Stand is occupied by Standard Plus category seats from blocks 101 to 113. On the North stand you will find the standard plus seats from blocks 221 to 228 and Standard seats from blocks 121 to 130. The 10,000 seating capacity of the stadium can be extended up to 20,000 and is divided into these categories to provide a complete view of the stadium from every seat.
