In an unexpected turn of events, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have come out as the league leaders in the first week. They have scored two consecutive wins in the league against Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings respectively.
Lucknow Super Giants started their league campaign with a loss against Delhi Capitals, but the squad immediately bounced back and scored a win in their second game against the ferocious Sunrisers Hyderabad. They currently stand at the 2nd spot in the point table.
Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals have just played a single fixture, and hence, they both are in close competition. They both have managed to score wins in their first game, but the Punjab kings carry the momentum with a better net run rate.
Rajasthan Royals have come out as the weakest link in the tournament as of now. They have lost both of their fixtures, and the Royals currently stand at the bottom of the point table with a net run rate of -1.882.

IPL 2025 - Uncapped Players in the Spotlight
1) Vignesh Purthur - Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians have nurtured yet another young talent from India. The left-arm wrist-spinner Vignesh Purthur turned out to be the trump card for the team against Chennai Super Kings and scalped 3 wickets at an economy of 7.5 in his first ever IPL fixture. He successfully dismissed Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube and Deepak Hooda. Vignesh was scouted by Mumbai Indians during a local T20 tournament in Kerela.
2) Priyansh Arya - Gujarat Titans
Priyansh Arya made headlines during the Delhi T20 league when he smacked 6 sixes in an over. He was signed by the Gujarat Titans during the IPL 2025 mega auctions, and the result was his performance against Punjab Kings in the first IPL match. Priyansh scored 47 off 23 balls, and his innings included seven boundaries and 2 maximums. It is because of his performance, IPL betting websites in India are showing positive odds for the player.
3) Ashutosh Sharma - Delhi Capitals
Delhi Capitals won their first IPL fixture and the credit completely goes to the debutant Ashutosh Sharma from the lower order. Since their top order was a complete failure, Ashutosh handled the situation and hit 66 off 31 balls to help his team complete the chase against Lucknow Super Giants. His innings included 5 boundaries and the same number of maximums.
