South Africa vs India T20 Series - Squad and Key Players for India

After finishing up the Test series against New Zealand at home, Team India is all set to travel to South Africa for a 4-match T20 series. The first fixture is set to take place on 8th November at the Kingsmead Stadium.

The online cricket betting app has ed the odds for the T20 series between India and South Africa.

After the end of the 12-year winning streak at home in the Test, team India will be devastated by the result against the Kiwis. They have lost the series against New Zealand with a defeat in the 2nd Test.

India needs a new start with some fresh faces in the team in the T20 format. BCCI and the selection committee have named some new faces for the T20 series against the Proteas.

Team India will be under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav. He is a new face of India’s T20 squad who has led the team from the front. He will have Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma at the top order.

Middle-order batter Ramandeep Singh and fast bowler Vijaykumar Vyshak are two new faces who will be expected to earn their maiden cap for the team in T20 format. Left-arm quick Yash Dayal will be making his first appearance in the international tour.

Ramandeep has been a key player for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. He is a death-over specialist who can score quick boundaries under pressure.

Team India will be without three key youngsters for the tour: Riyan Parag, Mayank Yadav, and Shivam Dube. All three are currently recovering from their respective injuries and won’t be available for the whole series.

BCCI and the selection committee have also rested Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah and the injured Kuldeep Yadav. These four players will be travelling to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar trophy and hence the selection committee doesn't want to take any risk.

1) Sanju Samson

In recent times, Sanju Samson has changed his batting position and he has found his calling at the top order. After trying out multiple positions in the batting order, Sanju is well suited for the top order batting.

2) Arshdeep Singh

When it comes to pace attack, Arshdeep Singh has turned himself into a T20 pace bowler. His swing at the start and pace during the death overs become difficult to play and hence Arshdeep Singh is a player to watch out for.

3) Suryakumar Yadav

The third and most important player for Team India will be the skipper himself. Surya is the leading scorer for the team in 2024 in the T20 international format. He will be a major threat to the hosts during the whole series. Surya will be expected to be part of the top order at number 3 and he is an expert in judging the ball and hitting quick boundaries
