Bangla Tigers Mississauga Preview

The team has changed its name from Mississauga Panthers for this season. Skipper Shakib al Hasan would expect this change in name to help the team turn around its fortunes. They failed to win a single game last season. The team has made several changes, and they look forward to making a positive start.  

They have a strong opening pair in Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Muhammad Waseem and will look to deliver a strong start. Hazratullah Zazai will look to do well at No. 3 and build partnerships with Pargat Singh and Shakib Al Hasan. The team expects quick runs from David Weise, Tajinder Singh Dhillon, and Iftikhar Ahmed.  

The bowling attack struggled last season, and the side will expect a good show with the new ball from Odean Smith and Dillon Heyliger. Shakib will look to bowl tight spells in the middle overs with Tajinder Singh Dhillon. David Weise and Iftikhar Ahmed complete a strong bowling attack for the team.

Usman Khawaja's team hasn't had the best start in the tournament. It was a poor batting effort in the last game against the Toronto Nationals that saw them going down by 8 wickets. Batting first, they managed only 110 runs and must overcome this. Khawaja would like to see a better show from his batsmen in this game.  

Khawaja must lead from the front and deliver a strong start in this game with Reeza Hendricks, as the pair struggled in the last game. In the middle order, they expect a good show from Harsh Thaker, Munid Ahmed, and Nitish Kumar. Dwaine Pretorius is a good hitter, and he will look to add quick runs along with Michael Rippon.  

Mohammad Amir and Dwaine Pretorius bring lots of experience to this team, and they must get early breakthroughs to put the Bangla Tigers under pressure. Michael Rippon and Sandeep Lamichhane have an important role in middle overs and must bowl in the right areas. Paul van Meekeren and Thaker will look to deliver in the ing act.
