Not unlike Colombo Jaguars, Hambantota Bangla Tigers have zero wins to show after two games. They lost the first game against Jaffna Titans and the second game was abandoned without a ball towed against Galle Marvels.

Hambantota Bangla Tigers batted first against Jaffna Titans in their opening game. At one point, they looked set for a big score but ended up getting just 106, losing 8 wickets in their 10 overs. Dasun Shanaka scored 51 of 17 balls, hitting 4 4s and 5 6s to help the Tigers reach a respectable score. The Tigers did get Fernando out in the first over and Asalanka in the third, but that was it for them against Jafna Titans. The Tigers failed to make any more inroads into the opposition batting lineup and lost the match by 8 wickets with about 2 overs to spare. Udana and Ratanayake took one wicket each.

While Hambantota Bangla Tigers' performance so far is as bad as Colombo Jaguars, they have shown some spark in their batting and have a decent enough bowling attack. This is a good opportunity for the Tigers to get their first win of the season.
