India secured the series as they took an unassailable 3-1 lead with one game to play with a five-wicket victory in Ranchi at the end of last month. For their second Test tour of India in a row, England have gone one nil up but then quickly faded into the background and been dominated by the hosts.
One interesting part of this series has been the influx of new players on both sides. There has been at least one debutant in each Test so far and many of the fresh names have delivered for their team.
Jasprit Bumrah and Mark Wood will both return for their respective sides in this game on a pitch which is expected to offer plenty of pace, bounce and carry!

India have won 15 successive home Test series but the truth is that they have been pushed and it has not been an easy series victory for them over the last six weeks.
Without key players like Mohammed Shami and Virat Kohli throughout the series, KL Rahul only appearing in the first Test and star all-rounder along with top pacer Jasprit Bumrah missing a match each, India have shown not only their depth but also how strong they are in home conditions.
That said, the temperature and overheads are likely to be more like English weather in this match! But this India side are full of confidence and will take on the tourists wherever and are likely to come out on top again in this Test when Ravichandran Ashwin will make his 100th Test appearance.

Ahead of this final Test of the series, England announced one change to their team who lost in Ranchi with express pace bowler Mark Wood coming back into the side for his third appearance of the series in place of Ollie Robinson who struggled with his fitness and pace in his one outing in the last match.
Zak Crawley is England's leading run scorer in the series, although his opening partner Ben Duckett is not far behind. Joe Root returned to form with an unbeaten century in Ranchi but Ollie Pope's overall numbers have been poor with 196 of his 285 runs coming in one innings.
Jonny Bairstow will make his 100th Test appearance in this match with 41 year old swing bowler James Anderson two dismissals away from 700 Test wickets.

It is going to be cold in Dharamsala, particularly over the opening couple of days of play! A couple of hours before the toss, we may even see some snow falling. The temperature is expected to rise a little over the final three days of the Test but will not go higher than 18 degrees at any point.

Test cricket grounds do not come much more picturesque than this venue where the multi-coloured seats and stands blend into a beautiful setting with the snow-capped Himalayan mountains in the background! It looks like a good batting wicket with pace and bounce for both the batters and bowlers to work with.
With cloudy and humid conditions expected across the opening day's play, we predict that both captains will choose to bowl first if they win the toss in Dharamsala.
This has been a fascinating Test series between India and England but it is the hosts who have won three of the games and were only narrowly beaten in the opener. We are predicting a close contest and expect England to cause problems at times but overall we are backing India to get one more victory to close out the series.
