For the second successive England Test tour of India, the score is 1-1 after two Tests with the visitors levelling after going behind.
So what can we expect in Rajkot after the entertaining games in Hyderabad and Vizag?
Well, once again, let's find out who won't be playing! Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are two big name batters who are unavailable for the hosts and Shreyas Iyer has been dropped. For England, Shoaib Bashir, who impressed with four wickets in Vizag on debut, is likely to make way for Mark Wood which will give England two pace bowlers in their XI after having only 41 year old James Anderson in the last Test.
India have played two Tests and not lost either in Rajkot. They drew with England in 2016 before thrashing West Indies by an innings and 272 runs in 2018.

This has been a tough Test series so far for skipper Rohit Sharma who has not only had to contend with unavailability of two of his best batters, an all-rounder and a pace bowler, but has also been up against a resurgent Bazballing England side. However, the injuries and unavailability of experienced players has given opportunities and the spotlight to others.
Yashasvi Jaiswal made his first double-century in Test cricket in the last game and Shubman Gill, who had been going through a poor run, made a century in the second innings. Both players will be crucial in this match.
With the ball, we can expect Jasprit Bumrah to be the key bowler along with Kuldeep Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin.

Ahead of this series, England would certainly have taken being at 1-1 after the first two Tests and although they lost by 106 runs in Rajkot, they certainly gave India a fright!
None of this is new territory for the tourists who have taken Test cricket to a new and exciting level since Ben Stokes was appointed as captain and Brendan McCullum as coach. So far, we have seen a Test debutant in each match for England but that is not something we are anticipating in Rajkot.
The experienced James Anderson returned to the team in Vizag and produced a brilliant display of pace bowling. His accuracy and fitness will be critical with him needing just five wickets to bring up 700 Test dismissals.
Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Ben Stokes (c), Jonny Bairstow, Ben Foakes (wk), Rehan Ahmed, Mark Wood, Tom Hartley, James Anderson

It is going to be a hot five days in Rajkot and it will be hard work if any team find themselves in the field for over a day and a half! No rain is forecast although there will be some cloud cover at times. But make no mistake, the temperature is likely to be over 30 degrees on every day.
There is a little bit of green grass covering in Rajkot ahead of the game but we do not expect it to last long! A largely flat pitch is anticipated which will favour the batters over the first two-thirds of the match before the spinners come into the match in the latter sessions. A par first innings total will be over 450.
India made 649/9 declared when batting first at this venue in 2018 and, although you can never rely on Ben Stokes' England to do the 'normal' thing, we predict that both captains will want to bat first in this Test.
Both Tests have provided fascinating viewing in the series so far and we expect another highly entertaining game in Rajkot! England will take the attack to the hosts who are under-strength and we could well have another closely contested Test. Our prediction is for India to have too much with both bat and ball in this third Test. Our prediction is for India to win.
We are backing India to win this match.
