The 2024 WPL has been a fantastic tournament so far and it a real shame that there are only two more fixtures left in the tournament before it all packs up again for another 12 months!
Delhi Capitals Women were the top side during the group stage, finishing top of the table with a two point cushion and interestingly all five of the sides lined up in the league with two points separating each position.
Looking at the squads, most pundits expected Delhi Capitals Women, Mumbai Indians Women and RCB Women to finish in the top three - now the key question is which one of the three will emerge as the winners.

Player for player, there is certainly a strong group for Mumbai Indians Women in their squad and a lot of pundits would argue that they have the strongest individuals to choose from.
The batting line-up of Hayley Matthews, Nat Sciver-Brunt, Harmanpreet Kaur and Amelia Kerr are certainly a group who would walk into any other side in the tournament and captain Kaur has been particularly impressive although interestingly she got a golden duck in the last game.
With the ball, Shabnim Ismail is another player who has had a couple of injury worries but when she has been available no one has been able to match her accuracy and pace.

It was no surprise to see Ellyse Perry receive the Player of the Match Award in the last game which was the head to head with Mumbai Indians Women and many observers would argue that RCB Women need the Australian all-rounder to produce something similar if they are to progress to the final of the 2024 WPL.
That said, Smriti Mandhana is a top performer as an opener and a strong skipper. There is also experience galore to lean on from Sophie Devine who is likely to bat at number four.
With the ball, Perry along with Asha Sobhana have performed well, as have spinners Sophie Molineux and Georgia Wareham. Renuka Singh has been disappointing but has had a strong career and could still be a match-winner in this game.

The weather conditions have been very consistent and pleasant in Delhi throughout this WPL. It will be another warm evening with no great humidity levels to worry the players.

Minimal TurnTeams have struggled with the bat a little more over recent games as we have seen the pitch slow down a little in Delhi. However, this is still a good batting wicket and a par score will be over 155.
Both teams believe that batting is their best suit so we expect that the captains will want to bat first and post a big score in the first innings of the game in this Eliminator.
This looks like being a brilliant contest and is exactly the type of tie that the organisers would have wanted to see in the Eliminator ahead of the start of the tournament. RCB Women beat Mumbai Indians Women in the last head to head but we expect Mumbai Indians Women to have too much quality to let that happen again. Our winning prediction is for Mumbai Indians Women to win.
