Peshawar Zalmi beat Multan Sultans by 4 runs
Peshawar Zalmi have stopped Multan Sultans once already in this PSL but surely they can't do it again against the runaway leaders.

Multan Sultans have undoubtedly been the top team in the 2024 PSL so far and they will come into this game with the knowledge that a victory will see them go five points clear at the top of the table. Unsurprisingly they have already booked their place in the end of season play-offs and they have an 11 point cushion over Lahore Qalandars at the foot of the league!
Fans of cricket were left disappointed on Saturday after the two games in Rawalpindi were both washed out without a ball delivered but they then saw an exciting clash won by Islamabad United on Monday with Peshawar Zalmi losing by 29 runs.
So the question is, can Peshawar Zalmi bounce back immediately in this game against the table toppers on Tuesday?

With run scorers in great form and wicket takers operating with very low strike-rates, it is no surprise to see Multan Sultans setting the pace in this year's 2024 PSL!
Mohammad Rizwan, the 2023 PSL leading run scorer hit his third half-century of the tournament on Sunday but it was keeper-batter Usman Khan who rightly took the headlines with a century. And then there's also Reeza Hendricks at the top of the order who quietly sits in third place in the leading run scorers across all sides.
With the ball, the Sultans have the two top wicket takers in the tournament as well as a range of other bowlers all capable of striking at any moment.

Monday's game against Islamabad United started so brightly for Peshawar Zalmi when Saim Ayub bowled the dangerous Alex Hales with the first ball of the match! But unfortunately that was as good as it got as Islamabad posted 196/4. In reply, Babar Azam and Rovman Powell both made ducks and in spite of Aamer Jamal's 87 runs from 49 balls, 197 was a target too far.
But fortunately for Zalmi, they have an opportunity to return to the same venue and set the record straight in this game. Players of the calibre of Babar Azam rarely fail let alone twice in 48 hours so they could well spring a surprise and beat Multan Sultans for the second time in the tournament in this game.

Rawalpindi is not one of the hottest venues and evening games are often chilly affairs. There will be plenty of cloud cover but no risk of rain falling with the temperature likely to be no higher than 15 degrees.

Average TurnThis is another good batting wicket with pace and bounce in Rawalpindi. In the favour of the bowlers is plenty of turn for the spinners although they will probably have to sacrifice plenty of runs for any wickets! A par score will be around 200 in this match.
Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and chose to field first on Monday, but in spite of falling to a defeat we expect both teams to want to bowl first in this match on Tuesday in Rawalpindi.
Peshawar Zalmi may have beaten Multan Sultans already this season but we are not expecting them to make it two out of two. Multan Sultans have been excellent with both bat and ball and have a top order which all other teams look upon enviously. Babar Azam could well take the game away from them but overall our prediction is for Multan Sultans to win on Tuesday evening.
