After posting 271/2 on Tuesday, it was no surprise to see Northern Challengers get their second victory of the tournament and although UP Brij Stars hit 219/6 themselves, they never looked like winning that match.
That performance means that Rajasthan Regals, who haven't played since Sunday, face an unenviable task on Wednesday as they look to finally get their first victory!
Fortunately for the Regals, the pitch seems to be getting easier and easier to bat on so if they win the toss they could well put the pressure on the Challengers with a big total.
Either way, expect to see another landslide of boundaries in this clash!

It is no surprise, and many pundits predicted the same ahead of the tournament, but Northern Challengers have one of the strongest individual players in this Big Cricket League. In their captain, Shikhar Dhawan, they have a player who was dominating top international level bowling attacks in the IPL less than a year ago and so far he has already posted two centuries in this competition.
But his opening partner Samiullah Shinwari was keen to show that Dhawan is not the only top order batter capable of making big scores and he smashed an unbeaten 111 from 46 balls in the win over UP Brij Stars, a fine innings which included 7x fours and 11x sixes!
Northern Challengers certainly look like a weaker outfit when it comes to bowling but Siddarth Kaul and Bipul Sharma both impressed with wickets and strong economy rates in their last game.

Rajasthan Regals look like a side who are low on confidence, perhaps not a big surprise considering they have lost all three of their fixtures so far in the 2024 Big Cricket League!
In their last game, the Regals got off to a strong start, picking up the wicket of Chamara Silva for a duck from only four balls but they were unable to build on the early dismissal and were soon bludgeoned by Jesal Karia and Mihir Agarwal.
Priorities for Rajasthan Regals in this game will be some more economical bowling from their second change bowlers and for captain Tillikaratne Dilshan to deliver more than the 22 runs he made in the last game. Time is starting to run out for the Regals and they need their marquee leader to step up in this clash.

Although there will be a slight increase in the humidity levels during this game, it will still be played under warm skies with the temperature dropping from the high twenties to the mid-low twenties.
The pitch in Surat showed some assistance for the pace and swing bowlers early in the tournament but much of that help seems to have now disappeared. We predict that both teams will look at the surface and expect a par score to be around 200.
Both teams will be aware of the stats from recent games in the competition which have seen the team batting first go on and win the game across the last three days. Both Rajasthan Regals and Northern Challengers will want to bat first in this match.
There is certainly talent in the Rajasthan Regals squad but we are yet to see much of it and if Northern Challengers get going at the top of the order again then this looks like being a one-sided game. We are expecting to see Rajasthan Regals lose once again.
We are backing Northern Challengers to win!
