Quetta Gladiators Preview

Saud Shakeel's team has made a confident start this season. The side won the first game against the Peshawar Zalmi by 80 runs. It was a good show from the batsmen, and the bow-lers perfectly defended the total. Their opponents lack confidence, and Shakeel would like to use this opportunity in the game and strengthen the position on the points table. 

Finn Allen and Saud Shakeel set up an 88-run stand in the last game, and the team expects a similar start from its opening pair. The middle order did well, and Hasan Nawaz, Rilee Rossouw, and Kusal Mendis will look to stitch partnerships. Shoaib Malik, Faheem Ashraf, and Kyle Jamieson add firepower to the team's batting, making it strong.

Shaheen Afridi and his men will be under pressure in the second game. After their poor show last year, the side would have hoped for a better start. However, the problems of the last sea-son came back to haunt the team as they went down by 8 wickets against Islamabad United. Afridi would like to see a more determined show from his players to avoid repeating last sea-son's fate. 

Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Naeem failed to score runs in the last game, and their per-formance at the top of the order will be crucial to the team's success. Abdullah Shafique looked good, and he must add runs in the middle order with Daryl Mitchell and Sam Billings. Sikandar Raza, David Wiese, and Jahandad Khan can strike the ball, and the team expects them to add runs in the lower middle order. 

Shaheen Afridi must lead from the front and pick early wickets, along with Asif Afridi.
