Ankurjyoti Club produced a mediocre performance that was never enough to get them to a victory against Gauhati Town Club. However, the team will be relatively pleased about certain aspects of the game. Victor Kashyap continued his good run with the bat after grabbing 22 runs – albeit taking 32 balls in the process. Victor Kashyap is now the second top scorer in the league with 66 runs from his three innings, although he is coming under immense pressure from the likes of Gauhati Town Club’s Yuvraj Tewari.

Even though Gauhati Town Club had to go into the final over before reaching their target, they were relatively comfortable throughout the game and lost only five wickets. City Cricket Club are a relieved outfit after managing the first win of the season. It might have taken the team quite a lot of time, but they are now up and running in the league.
