Royals have won one of their two matches so far. They have crossed the 170-run mark in both games while batting first. DLR have a very strong batting lineup that features some of the best T20 batters in world cricket.

Big Boys Preview

Big Boys lost their opening game by 6 wickets while defending 123 runs against Gujarat Samp Army. There were no overseas players in the XI. The Boys have got some of the great legends of the game in their squad like Chris Gayle, Tilakratne Dilshan, and Anton Devcic.

None of these batters made it to the XI in the opening game. It is quite evident that the Big Boys need these players to strengthen their batting lineup. With Gayle and Dilshan at the top, it could be a completely different picture.

They will be facing a strong bowling attack from the Royals in this game. As such, they need to make some big changes to the playing XI and get in some of their best players to prepare for this challenge.

Ishan Malhotra and Sunny Singh failed as openers while Robin Bist couldn’t convert his cautious start into something more significant. It was Naman Sharma’s 52 off 29 balls that led the Boys to a par score.

Delhi Royals Preview

Delhi Royals bounced back in their second game as they defended a 195-run total against Rajasthan and won by 41 runs. It was a convincing win after they lost to Chattisgarh Warriors in the opening game despite posting a 172-run total batting first.

The Royals will be confident coming into this match. They’ve got a superior batting lineup and an in-form bowling attack. Lendl Simmons was exceptional in the last game with his 87 off 39 balls and will be the player to watch out for.

In the middle-order, Danushka Gunathilaka is in fine touch along with Angelo Perera and Ross Taylor. Almost every one of the top and middle-order batsmen has looked in good touch so far and is likely to step up and deliver impactful knocks for the team.
