Although we have only completed three days so far in the tournament, we can already see top performers standing above the rest and the good news is that we have some of those on show in this opening match on Friday.
This will be the second time that Northern Warriors and New York Strikers have locked horns in the Abu Dhabi T10 and it was the Strikers who came out on top at the end of November last year as they enjoyed a 5 wicket victory, albeit the win was only secured from the final ball of the game! After running the Strikers so close last year, expect the Warriors to be desperate for revenge in this clash.
As ever, batting power will be key in this game and the side who clears the boundary the most could well end up as the winner.

So far, so good for Northern Warriors who have already beaten Morrisville Samp Army and Team Abu Dhabi in this year's tournament. Three wins from three would be a big statement and go a long way to booking a place in the knockout stage.
The Warriors have an excellent and deep batting line-up which gives a licence to their entire line-up to attack throughout their innings as they know that there is always a competent batter to come in next. That said, they only needed their openers against Team Abu Dhabi on Thursday as Hazratullah Zazai struck 52 not out from 27 balls alongside Kennar Lewis' 46 not out from 27 balls. Big hitters like Angelo Mathews, Colin Munro and James Neesham will be itching to get out into the middle in this game.
They may have needed only two batters in Match 6, but their bowling line-up showed variety and plenty of wicket taking options in the field. Coming into this clash with New York Strikers, Angelo Mathews has already taken 4 wickets and spinner Tabraiz Shamsi took 2/17 in the last win.

After losing to Deccan Gladiators in a repeat of the 2022 Abu Dhabi T10 Final in their opening game, New York Strikers needed to get up and running in Match 5 and they did so with a comfortable 8 wicket win with 14 balls remaining against Bangla Tigers on Wednesday.
Northern Warriors may have completed their chase with just their openers, but it wasn't much different for the Strikers who had Muhammad Waseem (41 runs from 22 balls) and Kusal Perera (50 not out from 20 balls) to thank for the lion's share of their 103/2 which got them over the line with 2.2 overs remaining! All of this with clean strikers such as Kieron Pollard and Rahmanullah Gurbaz still yet to deliver a big score in this year's tournament.
Mohammad Amir has been around the white-ball circuit many times but he still knows how to stop batters scoring runs! This was proved yet again against Bangla Tigers as he conceded only 11 runs from his 2 overs (which also included a wide). Akeal Hosein will be another bowler looking to maintain an impressive economy rate after he leaked only 3 runs from his only over. But full of confidence will be Chamika Karunaratne who has already taken 6 wickets with 3-wicket hauls in both matches so far.

As the earliest game of the triple-header on Friday, humidity levels will be marginally over 50% but consistent throughout and will not have an impact on the match. The temperature will be 27 degrees from start to finish and sunny conditions will be on show.

The pitch is showing no signs of deteriorating and we saw the highest scoring game of the tournament in Thursday's final clash. Batters come to the crease without worries about the pace of the wicket or of inconsistent bounce. There are runs galore out in the middle!
In the three games that the teams involved in this match have won the toss in so far in this tournament, they have chosen to field first each time. For that reason, we are anticipating that both skippers will elect to field first on Friday.
New York Strikers may have come out on top last year and got their first win on Wednesday, but it is Northern Warriors who have been unstoppable so far and we fancy them to make it three wins from three.
We are backing Northern Warriors to win this match!
