PAK vs NZ Live Prediction

2025-02-19 19:22:00

Pakistan Score Over 41.5 Runs in 10 Overs @ 1.85 (4RABET)

A tough start for Pakistan in this high scoring run-chase, they managed to score 5 runs in 3 overs. But they do have time to get their eye in. With Babar Azam batting at the other you can always expect him to attack at some point in this powerplay and we predict their score to be over 41 runs at the end of 10 overs.

2025-02-19 16:54:26

New Zealand Score Over 206.5 Runs in 40 Overs @ 1.85 (4RABET)

Young & Latham duo have added 55 runs in the 20-30 over phase. They have been absolutely clinical with their approach and paced the innings really well. With the duo looking ominous and as it is the last phase of the 2nd powerplay, we predict New Zealand to encash and predict their score to be over 206 runs at the end of 40 overs.

2025-02-19 16:52:09

New Zealand Score Over 176.5 Runs in 35 Overs @ 1.80 (4RABET)

New Zealand are right on top at the moment, both Latham and Young are sweeping out the Pakistani spinners and their fast bowlers have gone off -boil in the 20-30 over phase. With both batters striking it well, we back New Zealand to have another good phase.

2025-02-19 16:25:16

New Zealand Score Over 141.5 Runs in 30 Overs @ 1.85 (4RABET)

The blackcaps are back in the game big time and at the end of 24 overs their score is 110/3. If they keep scoring at the current rate (5-5.5 runs per over), which we think back then to do so as they haven't had much trouble in scoring runs at the movement.

2025-02-19 16:12:03

New Zealand Score Over 116.5 Runs in 25 Overs. @ 1.80 (4RABET)

New Zealand have recovered well, courtesy of a courages and well Paced innings from Will Young. He has kept their scoring rate around 5 runs per over. While Tom Latham is just getting into the groove and we predict a good little period for New Zealand.

2025-02-19 15:42:25

New Zealand Score Over 87.5 in 20 Overs @ 1.85 (4RABET)

New Zealand after losing two wickets towards the back end of the powerplay overs, Mitchell and Will Young have rebuilt the innings and currently scoring at 4-5 runs per over. Both batters have been smart with their shot selections and very fast in running between the wickets.

2025-02-19 15:24:24

New Zealand Score Under 75.5 Runs in 15 Overs @ 1.90 (4RABET)

After a good start in the first 6 overs, New Zealand's innings has fallen apart, Courtesy of two quick wickets. With the Pakistani bowlers squeezing the runs from both ends, we predict the Kiwis score to be under 76 runs at the end of 15 overs.

2025-02-19 14:41:50

New Zealand Score Over 48.5 Runs in 10 Overs @ 1.85 (4RABET)

It looks a really good track for batting, both the openers are excellent players of swing bowling and so far they have had the better of the Pakistani bowlers. We predict the Kiwis to keep scoring at 4.5-5 runs per over and predict their score to be over 48 runs at the end of 10 overs.

2025-02-19 14:28:32

New Zealand Score Over 22.5 Runs in 5 Overs @ 1.80 (4RABET)

It's a hard new surface, where the seamers might get some movement early on in the innings but it comes onto the bat nicely and we predict a fast start from the Kiwi openers.

Naseem Shah Gets Kane Williamson with a ripper!

New Zealand lose their second wicket in a span of 6 balls. Naseem Shah bowls a beautiful outswing that just takes apiece of Kane Williamson's bat (a faintest of edges to the keep). Pakistan are back in the game!

2025-02-19 15:09:00

Abrar Ahmed Gets the 1st Breakthrough

Just when New Zealand were looking to up the tempo and scoring rate, Devon Conway losses his off-stump. A ripper of a delivery from Abrar Ahmed. A short of length delivery that just spins back in to beat Conway.

It will be the National Stadium in Karachi which will welcome the return of the ICC Champions Trophy, a tournament which we have not seen since 2017, as well as Pakistan hosting a major cricket competition for the first time since the 1996 World Cup!

New Zealand were the dominant side earlier this month in the Pakistan Tri-Nation Series, defeating the hosts twice on their way to lifting the trophy on Sunday and they will be considered as a team to watch in this edition of the Champions Trophy.

Pakistan are a team who are capable of scaling the world's highest mountain one day but then could be beaten by Canada the very next day, and it will be interesting to see which version turns up for this opener on Wednesday!

But with top international stars on show for both sides, we could be in for a cracking contest.

Pakistan Preview

Pakistan may not be playing their best cricket at the moment but they are still a side who are packed with match-winners and top international players.

Right-handed opener Babar Azam may not be in the best form of his career but he recently went past 6000 ODI runs and a player of his class will find form again at some point. Fortunately his opening partner, Fakhar Zaman, is hitting the ball cleanly and will be confident coming into this game.

Pakistan's most consistent batters in this format are skipper Mohammed Rizwan and Salman Agha who will bat at four and five. Between the pair, they have scored almost 60% of their team's runs in their last two ODIs.

With the ball, Shaheen Shah Afridi has an excellent record against New Zealand as well as one of the best ODI records in the world. Alongside Haris Rauf, they could well cause significant problems to the opposition batting line-up.

PAK Over/Under Betting Tips

Rizwan has had a smooth run as a batter, since he has taken over Captaincy. Over the last 10 matches he has averaged 3.1 fours per game. At Karachi in 8 matches he has scored 415 runs and averages 3.6 fours per game.

Agha Salman Score Over 26.5 1.85

New Zealand Preview

New Zealand were without Lockie Ferguson, Ben Sears, Matt Henry and Rachin Ravindra for the final of the Pakistan Tri-Nation Series but still had more than enough in the locker to win the final against Pakistan on Sunday.

Ahead of this opener, the mood-music is that only Matt Henry will return to the XI with Rachin Ravindra not far away but not worth risking at this stage.

In the batting department, Devon Conway, Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips have all made big scores on this trip and every New Zealand side always has batting depth.

With the ball, the returning Henry will lead the attack with Michael Bracewell alongside Mitchell Santner providing vital control with accurate spin bowling.

NZ Over/Under Betting Tips

Daryl Mitchell Total 4's Over 2.5 1.90

Bet now

Daryl Mitchell has been in good run-scoring form and when it comes to ICC events, he has always steps up and delivers in crunch games. With every match being a must win in the Champions Trophy and given his current form where he has scored 188 runs in 5 matches in 2025 and averages close to 3 4's per game.

Daryl Mitchell Score Over 26.5 1.83

Bet now

Daryl Mitchell has scored 184 runs in 6 ODIs at Karachi, averaging 30.7. In 2025, he has scored 188 runs in 5 ODIs, averaging 37.6 and scoring over 30 runs in three of those matches.

Kane Williamson To Score 50 2.80

Bet now

Kane Williamson has been in superb touch since his comeback, where he scored 225 runs in 3 matches in the recently concluded tri-series. In this series he scored one 50 & one 100. Given his current form, we back Williamson to play a match winning knock and score 50 or more runs.

New Zealand Predicted Playing XI:

Will Young, Devon Conway, Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham (wk), Glenn Phillips, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner (c), Matt Henry, Jacob Duffy, Will O'Rourke

New Zealand Actual Playing XI:

Sunday's final of the Pakistan Tri-Nation Series showed that there is something for both the batters and bowlers. No batter made a score of over 57 and it was Pakistan's 242 which was easily overhauled by New Zealand with 28 balls and five wickets in hand. A par total looks to be around 300 on a pitch with consistent bounce.

Total Over/Under Betting Tips

Pakistan to Win the Coin Toss 1.90

Bet now

We are backing the home team Pakistan to win the coin toss in the 1st match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Total Match Score Over 583.5 1.92

Bet now

The pitch at Karachi favours the batters and it is a high scoring venue where the average total match score in the last two ODI's played at this venue is 596. Both teams are coming into this contest on the back of a high scoring tri-series.

Toss: To Bat

Of the last ten ODIs at the National Stadium in Karachi, five have been won by the team fielding first with five won by the side bowling first! With the hottest weather of the day likely to be in the first innings, we predict that both captains will want to bat first.

As hosts, Pakistan will be looking for any advantage in this game but their best hope will probably be more injuries to the New Zealand side ahead of the game! The Black Caps are in excellent form and we expect them to get off to a winning start in the tournament.

We are backing New Zealand to win!
